An English Teacher’s Dream
My class sizes are huge. Budget is nonexistent. Meetings are constant. I’ve spent this term buying various pens like the right one will fix my life, searching to find ones that would bring an iota of dopamine to paper grading. Ladies and gentlethems, these pens are what I’ve been searching for. I can smoothly circle all those grammatical errors and jot copious smear-free notes about how that quotation isn’t actually from this novel so please stop using AI, all while clutching the pleasantly squishy gel finger grip in various levels of despair. The colors pop with the bright vibrancy my soul no longer has. The clicker to retract the tip offers a delightful tactile experience for my frustration but is quiet enough that I don’t disturb the latest meeting that should have been an inside thought drafted into email and then deleted before sending. Have they fixed my life? Probably not. Are they the writing utensil holding my fragile sanity together until Winter Break? Yep. And that’s really all you can ask for in a pack of pens.

No skip
I am very picky with pens. these are amazing! super bright colors , very quick to dry, skip free smooth gel pens.... highly recommended! Great variety & fun to use.

Smooth & consistent ink
Very smooth & consistent writing experience. Great colors. Far better quality of pen than the Zebra brand. I highly recommend.

Nice Smooth Writing, Hard to Guess the Ink Color
I really like most of the colors and the ink is really smooth when writing on multiple surface qualities. The tone of the colors is bright and sharp. The ink hasn’t bled on any paper I’ve used so far, and it tries quickly - definitely a plus since they are a gel pen. There is a nice range of colors except for the yellow. The yellow hue is all but invisible on anything I’ve done so far. It would have been better to make a lemon-lime color as the green is a dark forest, and then this ink could have been visible. But unfortunately I really have no idea when I could actually use the yellow and see it. The design of the crystalline pen casings looks nice but in practice makes it hard to know which color you are grabbing - the pink, red, orange and even yellow all look similar to the colors next to them on the color wheel unless physically next to each other. Even the blue, green & black are close enough that I’ve grabbed the wrong color by mistake. I’m not as picky in my colors now in my life, but definitely would have drove me crazy a few years ago that I’m regularly grabbing a different color than I meant to. I know I complained about the color picking, but that’s just trying to spell out the reality to spare the people it would bother. Other than the yellow, I really really like these pens and I’m glad I have them.

[UPDATED] Great colors for the price
[UPDATED 01/13/23] I decided to try these out again when I switched from the Hobonichi Cousin to the Kokuyo Jibun Techo, and they fare much better with this paper. It’s like night and day. The ink flow can still be inconsistent at times, but I made sure to clean off every tip thoroughly and that helped. The yellow and olive green pens are in my daily rotation now and I couldn’t be happier. I still wouldn’t put them above the Sarasa Vintage (or my current favorite, the Pilot Juice Up Classic Glossy), but they’re worth a try for the color selection alone. [ORIGINAL] My favorite gel pens are the Sarasa Vintage line, and while the color options with these are almost as nice, the pens themselves are average at best. Clicking them is unpleasant because they tend to catch while extending and slip back down, which will likely end up wearing out the pen body and spring mechanism quickly. The ink flow isn’t great, either — it tends to skip, leading to broken lines. It makes for a rough, inconsistent writing experience. I still gave these three stars because it’s what I expected from a cheaper pen line, but I’m still sad that these colors won’t get much use from me due to the overall build quality.

Money well spent
Just as good as the more expensive ones. Love the colors and the size of the ink 0.5

Quality of pens
I have had the pens considered “Writech Bright 0.5mm” for a little over a month now, here is my honest, unsponsored, unsolicited review: 1) The pens do seem to skip, or scratch when writing on all types of paper (80,100, college rule notebook) and that is still after giving each pen quite a bit of use, I do like that you can see through and notice which ones I have the most love! The ink doesn’t seem to smear unless I write on a label type surface! 2) To the naked eye, or reviewing note taking, the YELLOW pen doesn’t show up very good, worse than writing with a highlighter this includes anything black, brown or white paper, it does on camera- I will be throwing that one away, the yellow is complete waste (negative ⭐️). 3) The BROWN can be difficult to see at times, but nothing like the yellow! I may dispose of it as well. 4) The pens I am reviewing are very fine point (0.5mm) which I personally like for when I write in my old school style notebook planner, or other fine detail writing. Make sure you pay attention to the tip you prefer, it does make a difference, you could be disappointed. 5) I have had no (0) issues with the retraction of the pens. 6) The rubber grip seems to show a little more grime then other pens I have had in the past. The grip is comfortable. 7) Weight of the pen is light. These are attractive, decent quality pens for the price point, or maybe someone just starting to journal. Overall, the pens are good, just not necessarily my personal preference, and I doubt I would order again.

Excellent Choice!
I was recommended to try these by a college friend and oh my! They're sleek, smooth, last a good while (I've already emptied three!), and the grip feels amazing in the hand! Highly recommend these colors specifically for anyone who likes lighter (but still visible) colored ink. They are also good at layering with pen ink for notes and drawing. The only potential con to be wary of is that the click to deploy and hide the tip is fairly loud compared to like a Pilot G2 and similar.

Great, smooth pens BUT they are all black ink and 0.7mm not the vintage colours in 0.5mm that i ordered. I think it has a mislabeled barcode. Amazon was great and issued a prompt refund but I need to order the coloured ones as I wanted and am afraid to reorder but get more black pens!

These are nice pens. The colours are so different. Ink is smooth and does not skip. Recommend
