Buy them, if you are looking for this item, just buy it. They work well, and are way cheaper than any big box store. Yes, the thread tape is cheap and thin, just get some good thread tape. On the white piece i had to put a ton of thread tape on it to make a seal, but it does seal well. I put these on 2 - 65 gallon barrels and they work great. All plastic so no rust, the valves dont leak and they are super easy to install.

Valve seems good, the water hose adapter is pipe threads not garden hose threads, the include Teflon tape is thin and pretty much useless I don't know about durability . Been using for about 2 months, so far so good.

The kit was complete for my needs, I did go to 2 of the national hardware stores and staff could not size up correct parts, usually oversized based how I explained my use needs. The complete kit was less than half the price of mixed parts I was recommended by the store staff. All sturdy and installed as intended and works as it should. Using to run overflow water collection from 40 gal drum to another. Will buy again when we add a 3rd barrel.

I bought this set of spigots for two 55 gallon drums I've been using to soak my horse's hay in. These spigots have made the process so much easier, as I used to have to dump the barrels to drain the water. Was pretty heavy and cumbersome! The task is much easier now. I used a 1" drill bit, and it fit perfectly. So far, no leakage noticed. I would recommend these spigots, as they're easy on the pocket book, easy to install and easy to use.

Im using these for adding a drain to a tote to make little cleaning sinks, and it works great. The quality is sufficient and has not leaked yet. I intend to use the other for a rain barrel, however, I'm unsure if the curve will cause a problem.

The product is of very good value. I purchased the pair to mount on my 44-gallon garbage can that I converted to a rain barrel. It was easy to install. I didn't have a hole saw for the size hole they recommended but the nearest size from my kit worked well. Remember to use the Teflon tape especially on the lower spigot else the water may drip slowly because of the gravitational pressure. The water pressure from the bottom spigot provides enough force for watering through a hose.

This product is perfect for what I needed. I attached it to a plastic crate, added a small length of irrigation pipe, made a hole near the end, filled the crate with water and it waters my plants right where it is needed. Set and forget, too easy.

Good for rain barrel. Need 35 mm holesaw to get the tight fit. Good price for a set of two. No silicone required.

I may have to buy again, once I show this to my father-in-law. You get 2 for the same price as 1 at the hardware store in town.
