A Court of Thorns and Roses Paperback Box Set (5 books): The first five books of the hottest fantasy series and TikTok sensation

I really enjoyed this series! I had never heard of this author until she kept coming up on TikTok videos. I love fantasy books, so I decided to give these a try. I was hooked within a few pages of ACOTAR and have been completely absorbed in the story for almost the entire box set. Every single book had me exhausted as I couldn't put them down and I read late into the night. The depth of characters and the world building is just enough that you feel each court, each person and each relationship come alive as you read along. The first book had me loving then hating Tamlin, Rhysand too, and I've enjoyed seeing Nesta's personality explaned as her charactor grew in ACOSF. I laughed and cried along the way as each character blossomed and grew page by page. I'm not sure what happened with ACOFAS, it was a bit boring, but I read it anyway. It doesn't really add anything to the rest of the story, so you could easily skip it and you wouldn't miss anything important. I 100% recommend these books, especially if you like a little bit of smut mixed in with your fantasy books! I found myself genuinely disappointed when I finished the last book, I hope there is another one! I've bought every book SJM has written because I've enjoyed these immensely and am about to start of Throne Of Glass. I hope they live up to my expectations!

Good reading and value for money

The first book 1 is amazing . I could not put the book down! My best read for this year! 10/10 !

I enjoyed these books. I am currently on book four not yet reaching book five. I am enjoying the plot, the characters, the twists. I think so far book two has been my absolute favourite. I enjoyed book one. Book three was okay but felt a bit of a drag. But I pushed through and im glad I did. Towards the end of the book it started to improve. The author is talented in making someone feel torn between characters and making you torn whether to hate them or love them or dislike them. I have battled with my emotions towards certain characters . I have cried and laughed reading these books. And felt connected to some of the characters. But and this is a big but! What I am not enjoying is the over use of the sentence "my toes curled" used in almost every book and almost every romantic or intimate scene. It's so off putting and cringe. It's been overused. I plan to read the author's other books after I finish this series and I really hope that sentence is not in those other books or overused in them. As it has ruined part of these books for me. There are other terms and sentences to explain how someone is feeling you don't need to overuse the same sentence. I hope this stops in future books.

Sarah J Mass the absolute woman you are! I have enjoyed everything I’ve read that she’s written so far, including this series, and I’d definitely recommend to anyone that loves fantasy and romance.

Could not put these books down. I have never read a book set (almost 3,000 pages in total!) so fast in my life. Amazing world and character building, that draws you right into the story. Great pace of action that keeps you reading. And plenty of, er... spice 😉. The last book (Silver Flames) is written from a different character's perspective to the others, which I was apprehensive about because this person isn't a very likeable character in the other books, but that was really good too. Especially as you learn what they have been going through and so see things from their perspective. Cannot wait for the next book to be released. Hurry up Sarah please 🙏. First off, the bundle is great as it is cheaper to purchase this way. If you’re trying to get back into reading this is a great choice! It is Romantasy (Romance/Fantasy). It is a great blend of both. The writing is excellent, the way the author lines up the events with the overarching plot is clever and fun. The first book is slow moving but that’s due to it focusing on world building and getting to know the main character. The book speeds up at the end and gets intense which leaves you primed up for book 2. By far book 2 and 5 are my favorites. As you read book 2, you discover so much more about the world and are just as in awe as the main character. Book 3 is really intense including a war and mostly focused on character development and learning about other courts which was interesting. Book 4 is what Booktok calls the “Christmas Special”. It’s honestly a gem. It focuses on their version of Christmas which is Winter Solstice. It’s the shortest in the series and what makes it a gem is that you get to see the characters happy for a bit. I know when I watch tv shows or read books, when there’s a lot of mayhem all the time, I’m always craving a little happiness or stillness to see the characters living normally and not focused on the next problem, so I am grateful book 4 exists. As I mentioned before the author is great at planting events or tid bits of information into the storyline that will be used later. As the characters are happy in book 4, the author sets up the next book with bits of information that sparks curiosity about a certain character. When you get to book 5, you are hooked and curious to find out what’s been going on with said character and get to explore that character a lot more. Well there you it! I tried to not be too specific or give any spoilers! I hope you’ll read this series! It’s worth it!

Books look amazing! The package came fast and everything came in great condition. The only thing I would like to warn you about is that the books are smaller in format than in Croatia. And maybe that once you start reading them, it's really hard to stop!
