I've tried several vendors of these SFP+ modules and when they work, they work for a short period of time and then dies. This particular device failed after 3 days of operation. When I removed the SFP from its cage, it was very hot and I was seeing several DDM log captures that the SFP was failing. Although interesting for use cases that have Cat6(a) already in place, I suggest avoiding 10GBase-T altogether. At least for now. And for those that are going to attempt to get 10G to their host devices on Cat6(a), these device add a bit of latency. Just sayin..... up to you to try but for me any 10GBase-T I try will be Enterprise grade only going forward.
