So far so good. Installed on a Onan 7000 that had a bad fuel shut off solenoid. This carb was an almost exact replacement (different fuel filter at the carb. Bolted right up and is running great for about the same cost as the solenoid.

Perfect fit no adjustment or modification needed worked great on my orange 5.5k generator.

This carburetor for the Onan QG 5500 generator was exactly what I needed. I had been fighting a surging problem with the generator for a while. i was going to rebuilt the carburetor but after seeing this one on amazon, I decided to take a chance with this one. The price was great and the product was of very good quality. i installed it, primed it, and it started immediately. I haven't had any problems what so ever. It is a great replacement for the original cummins carburetor. The product was sent right away and I am very happy with this product and great service from this vendor.

This is a great replacement carburetor. I gave it 5 stars because of that. I have an Onan Marquis Gold 5500 that had sat for 3 years. I installed this and it fired right up and runs great. I didn’t use any of the included filters or fuel line, I went with automotive grade equipment instead. I have ran this for 48 hours so far and have had no issues. I think it actually runs better than it ever has, 2 AC units running and a microwave and it didn’t even stumble. It’s definitely a great value for the money.

Generator has given us fits for 5-6 years. We’ve spent a lot of money at various RV maintenance and Onan service centers to troubleshoot. Two years ago I gave up and the Onan was dead weight on the RV. Finally, I decided to tackle a carb replacement. I read about others doing this and it solved the problems. Onan charges $417 for their carb. I didn’t want to spend that kind of money for an experiment. After all, the so called experts couldn’t fix the problem after swapping various parts. I came across this carb and read the reviews. It appears a few people had problems, but most were completely satisfied. So I took the $46 leap...LOL! When I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised to see this carburetor was EXACTLY the same as the original carb in the Onan 5500 generator. I watched a couple of YouTube videos before doing the work. The job is straightforward if you’re just a little bit mechanically inclined. The tricky part was getting the governor spring reattached to the tiny hole and keeping it there while aligning the new carb with the two long bolts that hold it and the filter box. A bit of patience, steady hands and needle nose pliers was all it took. Primed the carb after getting everything assembled and the generator came to life for the first time in two years! I ran it for a couple of hours with a full power load and it purred along. The next day we ran it for a couple of hours while driving to St. Augustine, Florida. It was a hot day. Outside temp was showing 100 degrees on I-95. We had both roof air conditioners running and the generator purred the whole way. It would die in those conditions even when it was new! We sat at our campsite for a week. When it was time to go, I fired up the generator. It ran fine for about 15 mins with no load and died. Here we go again! When we got home, I started troubleshooting again and found the oil was a bit low. (I changed it before leaving on the trip.) I filled the oil to the halfway point on the dipstick and tried again. (The dipstick being inaccurate is another known problem. Filled to the top is about half a quart too much.) The generator ran for another four hours without a problem. Hopefully, this is the end of a ten year saga! I’ll comeback and change my review if I experience any problems with it in the future.

Fits good but the hose, filters and shut off valve are not top quality. I don't trust the accesory parts but the carb fits. I haven't heard it run yet as my starter is out. That's the next project. I will replace the hose and hose clamps with good quality parts from an automotive shop. These look like they could spring a leak and cause a fire.

i bought one of these and i was really worried it wouldn't work :( i got it and installed the new Carb and it worked perfect !!! for the price this Carb is Amazing
