Are the nib holding rings sturdy? got a speedball set. nibs are good. nib holder is crap.

In my experience it holds the larger drawing/calligraphy nibs well, but not well for the smaller crow quill/mapping nibs, which are loose in the holder

Does this hold quill nibs?

I purchased this Tachikawa Pen Nib Holder, Model 25, for holding a Leonardt Principal EF nib that felt loose in my other holders. It works great! To answer your question, I found my CROW QUILL nibs from the 1990s, which may be the "quill nibs" you're asking about. I just now tried two of these vintage nibs. One is a Zebra, its number too small for me to read; the other is a Kingsley 2788. Both of these nibs slipped into the T-25 without forcing and they feel firm. Furthermore, as I've used "regular" nibs for current Copperplate script writing projects, I've come to prefer this holder. It's comfortable in my small hands.

Will a Brause ef 66 work with this pen holder?

I've been using the Brause #66 "arrow" in this Model T-25 holder. It fits firmly without forcing.

Purpose not served

This nib holder doesn't hold the Brause 515 nib even in its smaller ring. It would be better to buy physically after checking fit of nibs rather than online.
