DAIWA Bait Reel, Jigging/Slow Jigging, 22 SALTIGA 15S/15/15H/15-SJ/15H-SJ Right/Left Handle (2022 Model)

Super smooth. I asked a tackle shop to tightly wind on some PE2 braid and got almost 800m. This spring used it to deep drop jigs mostly for tile and grouper up (10+ lbs) with no issue. For this last fall season I replaced the line with PE3 braid but I only had a 300m spool, it def could’ve fit another 100m at least. I was able to jig up some tuna in the 40-80lb class but I’m confident I could’ve landed a 100lber if I hooked into one. This little guy is an absolute beast!

I have a few Saltigas. The JDM reels are much smoother and fine tuned than the korean made ones, not that they are bad but these are better. It clicks like a spinning reel when it pulls drag. Weirdly satisfying. Daiwa's answer to the Ocea jigger F type. In my opinion this is the best SPJ reel Daiwa makes

This reel feels feels solid yet light. The style is understated but classy. I like it that its lighter than my Ocea Jigger 2000NRHG and Saltiga 35N-SJ, which are both manageable, but any weight relief is still welcome. The physical size and weight is approximately between the Ocea Jigger 1500HG and 2000 model, yet the line capacity and max drag strength is the same as the bigger reel. I chose the 15-SJ model with gear ratio of 6.3:1 rather than the 15H range which has a longer handle and higher gear ratio. I don't fish that deep (between 90-100m), and I would also prefer more cranking power over faster retrieve. The 15-SJ does feels very smooth when cranking. Regarding the handle, I would prefer a slightly longer knob but the present one is still good. I'm not sure if the weight saving carbon handle will withstand hard cranking and abuse, but time will tell.

アラ・ハタが狙える場所へ行くので、35の発売を待ってましたが、このリールを購入したタイミングでは何もアナウンスは無かったので、15H-SJに。巻きも良いし、ドラグも良い感じに出るし止まる。個人的には良い買い物だったと思います。

フレームが斜めになっていてパーミングしやすい。軽いのも良い。あとは耐久性がどうか楽しみです。
