Different strokes for different folks
I have 7 cats and 2 outside cats. And every single one of them love love love this food. I don't understand why it has 4 stars. It should have 5! Yes some only lick the broth but that's just a few of them. In my opinion, after dealing with several senior cats passing away due to kidney failure and having to go through the ordeal of getting them to eat with a prescription to keep them going. This is one to at least try. And i've been through it all, even having to give a medication to encourage them to eat. The stuff smells pretty good. I am tempted ... slightly l o l. It is a bit pricey, but my cats are my family. They're my babies and if pricey makes them eat and then pricey is what they get. It is mostly broth. There is some chicken actually quite a bit of chicken that settles to the bottom but it's the broth that gets them to eat. That's why I think people who have seen your cats that are going through that last stages where they don't want to eat like they should give this a try. This is my personal opinion like I said different strokes for different folks and that includes cats.

Why is this brown?
Beef is brown, lamb is brown, why is “TUNA AND SALMON RECIPE IN A TASTY TUNA BROTH” brown?Cat is kinda liking it, but not a huge fan. She’ll eat anything as long as I mix it with ground turkey. I would like to find a good carnivore canned food that I don’t have to mix.Smell is fine, wet food is always better for felines, and the quality looks okay.

my cats HATE this
even my cats who will eat anything, absolutely won't touch this. they sniff and try to cover it up before walking away. please don't make the mistake i did and purchase this without reading reviews. $20 down the drain. i don't even feel like i can donate it, since the consensus in the house is that it sucks.also, the color of the chicken/chicken liver is so odd. BRIGHT yellow, and it barely has a scent. i knew as i put it in the dish they'd not touch it, and so they didn't. the flavors that are a normal color met with the same refusals, unfortunately. what a waste of money.

A lot of juice and gravy but not for the finicky kitty
Both of my cats are picky eaters. This is probably because I've trained them to be this way by constantly trying to find something they like and changing the food if they don't love it. Anyway, this is how they are now! Both cats love broth, juicy and gravy in/on whatever they choose to eat. So, when I first opened a can of this variety pack of cat food, I though they'd love it because it was swimming a liquidy juice with thin, but real shavings of chicken. They both sniffed it but neither licked it. Both tried burying it. I ended up giving it to the stray cat who comes by daily and she really loved it! The liquid was bright yellow so perhaps it had some additives that was off putting to my indoor cats. After they turned their noses up at it, I put it aside and gave it to the stray cat a couple of times until I realized that I hadn't given any of the other flavors a try on my indoor cats after they turned down the chicken can. This IS a variety pack, afterall. So, I ended up trying a different flavor that had seafood in it and it was a completely different consistency and overall appearance. This one didn't contain pieces of real and identifiable food in it. Instead, it was all brown, had chunks of, what I would describe as round pate balls, and gravy. One of my cats like the gravy on this one and licked most of it up but left the chunks of pate behind. My other girl wasn't having this one either. Unfortunately, overall, this food wasn't a success with my cats, aside from the stray cat outside who isn't a picky eater. It's a good price but if they don't eat it, they price doesn't really matter.

Happy cats
As it has on the fence about buying this, I don’t usually like to buy cat food unless it has a four star rating or over but I love all Stella and Chewys freeze dried raw so I gave this a chance and my cats like it. I was a little off put by the color since it’s so bright yellow. It looks like Campbell’s chicken noodle soup But my cats ate it up so that’s good to me.
