You NEED this,
Bought this to seal calzones and it's excellent for that. Easy to clean - the dough doesn't get up inside of it like I thought it might. Makes a really pretty edge that's TIGHT. Used it to pretty up pie edges, too. Works great.

Quality
Nice crimper; I've had many. The "blade" that runs down the center, is very sharp. For most of these crimpers available, the center blade is blunt, forcing you to press pretty hard. This one is a dream. I wasn't very easy to clean it (but that's more about the moisture in your pasta dough. I recommend soaking it first.

Gets the job done 👍
For the most part it's easy to use. I got it to make calzones and is doing the job. They look great! You do have to press kinda hard with it to make it work well and sometimes the dough gets caught up in it as you're rolling through thicker dough.

Only for thin pasta or dough
It worked okay, but it didn't seal my hot pockets very well. The filling oozed out while they were cooking. I found just using a fork to crimp and a knife to cut off the excess worked better.

Great Kitchen Tool!
I recently bought this stainless steel pastry cutter as a bit of a splurge. I wanted to make homemade ravioli, but didn't have the patience for fork-crimping every edge. This little device is perfect for the task. You get a good seal and a nice looking edge - voila!

Buyer Beware-Not worth the $8.00 bucks! Zero Rating!
This is not what it looks like! I was expecting a solid head like the picture but it's hollow and each side moves independently of the middle circle. Rickety too. You can NOT clean this. Dough will just clog it up and good luck getting it out-VERY poor design. (If it had been solid no problem) Soaking would just rust it and ruin the wooden handle. They do NOT return it either, Thank God for Amazon Prime! Tossed it, was useless. Save your money, do not bother with this one. Signed: Scratch Baker, getting ready for the holiday season.

Love the look of my pastries
I am a simple home cook. I have been making pastries and runzas just pressing the dough together with my hands of a fork. This gives my pastries a more professional look and a clean edge. Love it.

Honestly if it hadn't been so long I would return it
We just got to use this the other day, it was a Christmas present for my hubby. It didn't work. It just pulverized the pastry dough. I wanted to cry because he was so excited to use it finally.
