Very happy
I was using a really basic usb plugin prior to this and it was laggy as all could be until I found aftermarket drivers that helped. However, with this interface, I didn't need to do that. It was plug and play. I didn't need new drivers, just plugged it in, set it to shared device in cakewalk and blammo, was good to go and had it working. Sound is good, easy to use, and the quality is great. So far so good!

I feel emotionally violated
When I type in “Scarlett 2i2” half asleep on Amazon and buy something, I SHOULD BE CONFIDENT THAT THE FIRST RESULT IS THE THING I SEARCHED. If God is real, he will have to beg for my mercy for allowing this to happen. I just want to live in a reality in which typing words in a search bar results in THE WORDS BEING SEARCHED. I’ve waited 6 months to buy a Scarlett due to its renowned name and legacy. Movies are made with Scarlett. Champions crowned. History made. World peace comes from Scarlett. Not something pretending to be it’s shadow. Do better

Analog to USB success
This review is using my personal gear. Your experience may vary, but there’s no reason it shouldn’t work as well for most analog to digital conversions. I have a Kemper Stage and wanted to input into my Logic Pro DAW - one of the few Kemper shortcomings is no USB out - so this looked like a nice, inexpensive solution. Nicely packaged, feels substantial, appears to be a quality unit. Came with a USB to mini USB cord, and an adapter to fit into USB C so you could input into your Apple product with that connection. No software included, unknown if you might need a driver, I just plugged it into the USB port of my older iMac (10.14.6). Powered by the USB connection. If your PC, or whatever, doesn’t provide power, not sure how you do that. Logic recognized it as “USB AUDIO DEVICE” right away, and I was in business. Tried the output from the Kemper (XLR connection), set levels using the handy volume knobs on the front. Also plugged my guitar straight in (multi-purpose inputs on the front), and same deal, no problem. I’m guessing an analog microphone with either an XLR or a 1/4” output would work fine for you podcasters, etc. Because i have it, I also tried the DAW Reaper, and once i figured out how to use that software again, same result. For both DAWs, there is latency, but that’s the case for everything when working in this realm. Not enough to bother me, but for those who find this a problem, it’s something you probably measure anyway. Has a headphone out and two line out 1/4" jacks as well. Instruction book is short and clear, gives some specs. I'll give this thing a thumbs up, given it worked solid, has a few basic useful features.

EXCELLENT for mixing/matching mics and instruments
I was going to have this preamp stand in temporarily with my SM7B imitator (https://amzn.to/3Bk0cD3) until I got a GoXLR (https://amzn.to/3RG5BcX), but I ended up with a cheaper alternative to the GoXLR anyway (https://amzn.to/3RoxOFD) and tried this out along with its smaller cousin (https://amzn.to/3TSd7Dt) for use on my overhead rig where I shoot unboxings and PC builds. I combined it with the microphone that was included with the SK600 board and was very impressed. The two preamps are identical in sound quality and function, with this one having more interfaces for mixing and matching microphones and instruments, like the real-deal Focusrite 2i2.Although I opted for the smaller "Solo" unit in my single-mic setup, this preamp is perfect for combining and balancing two microphones or two instruments, which the Solo can't do. It's a dream come true for a two-person podcast or an instrumental duet. The gains on each input are infinitely adjustable and quite fine. It has phantom power for condenser microphones. There are input and clip indicators for each channel, and analog outputs for piping to an amp or monitors. Speaking of monitoring, there is ONE headphone monitor output. If using two microphones you will either need a splitter or only one person will be able to monitor the output. That's a pretty small compromise for a unit that is big on features and quality. I don't know what I will eventually do with this preamp, but I love it so much that I can't bear to part with it and will find a use for it someday.

Predatory, rips off Scarlett Focusrite
Look I know I’m wrong for not reading the description but I searched for 2i2 Scarlett Focusrite and thought I was getting a deal on prime day.Whoever wungste is is blatantly ripping off Scarlett’s design here. I knew something was off when I saw the box and thought “this is not something I ordered.” I wondered “what is wungste” when observing the unit. The unit itself is light, obviously light, would not be surprised if it’s just a daughter board with no other real working hardware. I have handled the Scarlett and immediately noticed the difference aside from the brand.Do not buy.
