I bought these because the were well reviewed - I can only think that those leaving 5 star reviews have not compared these to any other brand, while I have. The magnets on this board are covered with a flimsy bit of cardboard - which I tried to remove as I take exception to looking at a Von Haus advert in my workspace! The magnets are also MUCH weaker than my other Work Expert tool holders and cannot even grip a mid-size hammer with any strength. I won't send these back as I will just use them for lightweight tools - but I definitely wouldn't recommend them or buy them again.

What can I say? Cheap far Eastern crap. Bright Orange & Black sticker on the front of a bunch of cheap magnets using their own magnetism to stay attached to the metal fixing bar. Screws supplied with the kit heads snapped off long before they were holding the bars tight to the wall. Would advise you don't use these and find your own 4x35mm screws otherwise you'll be wasting time trying to get the supplied ones out of your wall like I was. I wouldn't advise purchasing these for a room that is going to be shown off to guests, these are suited to a workshop or toolshed only.

Disappointed in the cardboard fronts which aren’t very hard wearing, but which cover a number of individual magnets sitting side by side, which don’t look so good without the card. So you are stuck with the brand name and size info. Also sometimes the magnets seem to be fighting polarity with adjacent ones so that round tools roll along the holder to find their own natural resting place. These holders are a great idea and I really wanted them to work, so if these issues were addressed I would definitely give them another go.

Are they the best? - No. Are they the worst? - No. Are they Chinese? - yes. Are they Cheap(ish)? - yes. Do they work? - Yes. Are they the strongest magnets? - No. Are they acceptable? - Yes. Do I think they are good value? - Yes. Do I regret buying them? - No. Would I buy them again? - Maybe.

I bought these as a wall storage solution for my woodworking gouges. They are fine for the smaller ones, as long as I store them "pointy-end down", so they can be held in place by the handle ferule...But for larger, long-handled gouges, they haven't got a hope, even if I try and attach them to the "flat" side of the gouge...The magnet is not powerful enough to hold on to the small amount of metal that comes into contact with it.
