The media could not be loaded. The smooth Q4 gimbal stabilizer by Zhiyun, is a very technology rich selfie stick with many abilities beyond your normal selfie stick. With its gimbal stabilizer, power extend, and app controlled features, this one will take your selfie abilities to the next level. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Feature Packed – The app is required to really get most of the features and benefit of this product. The stabilization works great and its really nice to control your camera from the handle instead of having to touch the phone itself.II. Quality – It feels like very good quality materials that should last a long time assuming the electronics hold up.III. Instructions – It’s very frustrating to me that they don’t include detailed instructions with a product like this. The app helps a lot, but most of it you will just have to figure out on your own, good luck!IV. Usability – Once you figure things out, it’s very easy to use. Make sure you put your phone in it before turning it on and turn it off before putting it down. Otherwise it doesn’t work or freaks out.V. Transportability – It folds down decent, but still has a big size to try to carry with you. It would be ok in a backpack, but you wouldn’t want it in your pocket.Overall, I really like the abilities it brings to the selfie stick, it’s great quality, and how fantastic it is at stabilization. This is for sure one of those things that is extremely difficult to understand at the beginning, but with continued practice becomes easier. For some reason I thought it would be a piece of cake, but that was not my experience.I've had it for about 3 months now, and still feel like a beginner...maybe intermediate beginner. I actually find that the app it comes with makes it a bit harder to use! But without the app, it's just a free for all and leaves me frustrated. However I will say when I get a good shot, WHEW, looks professionally done. The thing I find most frustrating is when the stabilizer locks into one direction and doesn't allow me to move around it. So hard to explain until you have this in your hand. I understand that I may just be on the wrong mode for what I'm trying to accomplish, but what if I want one steady shot that pans, rises, goes around subject, and then low. It feels like I need to be on a completely different setting for all of those?! Still working on it! But I've seen several pros on Youtube with this exact model and they have feature film-worthy shots with this. It's possible, but a learning curve for sure.In short, it's a fantastic stabilizer, but is taking me more time than I would like to perfect my shooting. But I'm confident in my future with this.I will also add that the camera app absolutely DRAINS my iPhone. I've had my iPhone for about 3 years...which doesn't feel like it's my phone's fault entirely. But sheesh. I went from 100% to 40% in about an hour and a half using the app this comes with. My phone also became scalding hot due to the use. Something to consider!

Ever since I replaced my broken Smooth 4 with the Q4 I've started keeping it in a small pouch that I keep my action cameras in. This gimbal is about an inch taller and wider than my Pixel 6 Pro when its folded so its super portable but not quite pocket sized. One of the unsung heroes of the Q4 is the 1/4 20 thread on the base of the unit. While you can certainly use the included mini tripod/stand/handle (Standle?), that 1/4 20 thread along with the remote capabilities of the Zhyiun ZY Play app allows you to really experiment with your production.I really enjoyed how lightweight, yet full featured it is. The Joystick made me feel like i could always make adjustments as needed. It's a comforting feature that makes The Smooth Q4 easy to pick up even for novices. It supported the weight of my Pixel 6 Pro just fine even when fully extended.One word of caution. If you use additional lenses, counter weights, ND filters, or the like the motor may struggle with the additional weight.

Did not fit or work with my Samsung S-23 Ultra. Specs of the unit were not clear to size constraints.

This gimbal works well, holds my Oneplus 9Pro phone securely and the video it takes is very smooth in auto mode. I have yet to figure out the additional modes but it balances the phone well. It isn't immediately apparent, but to get it to work, you need to mount the phone in it before turning it on. Once you do it immediately balances the phone and you're ready to record. The Bluetooth connection works well once you download the app and select your model of gimbal. Mine was not currently in the app but I selected "other gimbal" and it paired quickly. The video controls are extensive and I have yet to figure them all out but everything I have used works excellently and you see the gimbal in action constantly keeping your phone smooth and steady. The battery lasts over 10 hours and the included tripod is a nice touch. Looking forward to making many high quality videos with this gimbal.

This Gimbal works great nice smooth videos and easy controls on the handle. The big issue is that most of the time in vertical or horizontal mode the phone is too big and bumps the gimbal.

No he tenido otro, tengo un móvil Samsung, hay algunos momentos que no toma fotos completas en version panorámica, saca 3 fotos en panorámica y solo toma 1 o 2 fotos, y no salen completas, el video funciona muy bien, el timelaps muy muy bien, solo falla esas fotos. La pila dura bastante y carga algo rápido. Le doy 4 estrellas y no 5 por el tema de las fotos, aunque tengo Android, no se si en ios funciona mejor. En esta foto solo salgo 2 veces y le pongo 3 tomas, se usa poco.
