XLABDelta 105 Single Bottle Cage Rear Hydration System

Summer is coming with a vengeance to Texas. I normally carried 2 water bottles for my 40-mile training ride, but in the summer they were not enough to finish my ride. I have to either look for a convenient store to get more water, or drink that yucky water from the park's fountains. I've been looking for options, trying everything from velcro-attached bottle cages to behind the saddle contraptions such as this one. Well with this XLAB Delta 105, I think I finally have a decent solution to carry a third bottle. Now I am sure I can swing my leg over to ride without hitting the bottle! With the bottle in the cage, it is about the same height with the saddle (see picture). But in the process, I sacrificed some.First of, Amazon's free same day delivery was pretty sweet. You might not have this option where you live, but in Houston I just happen to have this. I installed it this morning and hopefully can get a test ride today. Well, I no longer have a saddle bag. The bottle also is sort of blocking the Garmin radar's field of view. I tried something like this before and the radar still worked, so hopefully it still works this time. No rear light either, so another rear light that attached to the seat stay is needed.As you can see, I gave up quite a bit for the convenient of the 3rd bottle! Well I am short guy, so have not much room on the seat post. But this will definitely help keep me hydrated for my ride. The mount is solid, easy to install and a decent price compared to other XLAB's offerings. I just order the XLAB's Multi Strike repair holder, an over priced, 28 bucks attachment for this mount to carry my spare tube and Co2. Might as well.

Just installed bottle holder, seams sturdy and well designed. However may not work for all seat-rail/seat-post combos; had to scoot my seat backwards about 1cm to install the mounting bracket, hopefully it doesn’t throw my fit off.

This worked exactly as advertised, installed easily, I have no complaints.

This is very expensive for what it is. It is made of very cheap plastic. Its design is poor. I have 2 of the most common branded tri saddles and it will not fit on either of them due to design. I no longer trust amazon reviews. The first few reviews for this product were likely not honest assessments.

Great cage for saddles! Built well, comes with instructions and loctite. Never had a bottle eject during rides that include rough terrain. Highly recommend.

Grundsätzlich ein sehr schönes System - Allerdings passt die Halterung nicht an jeden Sattel, in meinem Fall musste ich daher die Montageplatte erst umständlich zusägen, bis sie gepasst hat.
