The pad itself is still somewhat abrasive and I am certain that if you left it in one spot or were to run it dry it would build up a great deal of friction heat that could damage both the pad and your vinyl floor. Additionally, the higher the RPM of you machine the greater the chance you have to develop the friction heat that could damage your flooring. If I were going to scrub my vinyl floors I would use the soft white cloth pads and add in some soft soap as it has very fine grit and the two together should accomplish what you need to do. Obviously, I do not know the condition of your flooring so this too would determine how much or how little abrasive action you might require. **Q: What type of floors can this brush be used on? Also, I can't find any instruction on how to put this on the machine. Any help would be appreciated** A: If this is the Oreck brush tehn it fits right over the disc on the bottom of the orbiter. As I do not see a picture of the brush, I am not completely sure that this answers your question. **Q: Can I use this pad stripping terrazzo floors** A: It will take you three years to strip a terrazzo floor with this pad. You have to use a black stripping pad 3m. The longer you leave the stripper on the floor the easier it will come up.
