Ride on Time

All I have to say is, “O. M. G.”I love Tatsuro Yamashita’s songs and music. It just feels...just right and perfect. Do you know what I mean? No doubt that I’m a big fan of him and his songs. They all have a certain feeling to then that I love!

What is it about a post-disco, R&B-ish, J-POP album from 1983 that I love? The music. Granted I don't speak Japanese but it's clear that this is great music even for the few songs that have English content. I recommend taking a listen.

If you want a taste of what this album can deliver, check out the album's namesake song: Ride on Time.I don't even skip the interludes on this album. That's quite rare for me.

The album came in perfect condition. The music slaps on this one, but I am a big fan of Tatsuro Yamashita so take that info with a grain of salt.

My only gripe is the CD case came moderately broken.Other than that the CD itself was fine and the music was very very fine.

今回私が購入したのは、ASIN: B00005UD3W、JAN： 4988017607336のコードからなる商品です。CDケースの色は黒で、18ページのブックレットがついています。歌詞も掲載されています。1980年に発表された山下達郎の5作目の作品になります。彼の代表曲の1つである「ライド・オン・タイム」が収録されていることで有名な作品ですが、それ以外の曲もよくできており、いわゆる捨て曲はありません。前半と後半でやや曲の雰囲気が異なりますが、後半のグルーブ感重視の楽曲は、彼の他の作品でもあまり聴けないもので、聴いていて飽きのこないつくりになっています。ボーナストラックが数曲収録されていますが、「ライド・オン・タイム」のシングルバージョンは、アルバムのものよりもややテンポが速く、全体的に派手ですが、曲としての出来はシングルバージョンの方が良いように思えます。なお、リマスター効果は良好で、音圧・音質共に向上しています。
