TX has 10 channels, RX has 6 channels. you can buy a 10CH receiver if you like, but you can still make use of the 10 channels in the TX by mixing channels together before sending them to the receiver. This is typically how you'd use the extra channels, you wouldn't normally have 10 servos in a plane. You mix the channels to do things like one servo per aileron, for flaperons. or when activating flaps, also mix in some elevator to compensate, to keep the plane flying straight. ...or for setting up different flight modes ( say on a discus launch glider ) for launch, cruise, thermal modes... its all about the mixes :)

Does this have better range than the T6? I have a 60 size airplane and the T6 doesn't have enough range
