KYLIN SPORT J-Hooks Barbell Holder for Power Rack - J Hook Weight Rack/Fitness Racks J Hook - Fit Squat Rack 2x2 inch Square Tube

I have mostly REP Fitness stuff, but I needed some J-cups without that REP price tag. Working out with the wife (who is significantly shorter than me) meant constantly moving the one set of J-cups we had up and down after each set. First-world problems, I know.These J-cups are nearly identical to my REP Fitness ones in terms of size and fit. these actually fit more snug on my rack, and I'm not sure if that's good or bad yet. The plastic that is used on the working surface is very smooth, and it's going to get marred up, but it seems as though it's going to hold for the most part. As mentioned in a previous review, it is only on two of the three possible surfaces that the bar could contact. I have never noticed my bar coming in contact with that front lip, but now I'll be watching for it. I am not sure why there is not protection there, I can't imagine it would have raised the price much, but I'm not the J-cup manufacturing business, so what do I know?The metal used is definitely heavy duty, they are painted very well, and the welds look substantial. I will probably never throw around enough weight to even come close to putting these at risk of failure, and they will probably last for as long as I continue lifting. I am very happy with these, and would recommend them for the average garage gym. If you lift with fancy barbells, you may want to pay attention to how much you actually contact that front lip of the J-cups you have before getting these. I use a fairly inexpensive bar, so I have no worries.

Well-made, and quite frankly better than the hooks that came with my rack, as those did not have any sort of protective pads to avoid marring the bar. The pics posted by the seller and the other reviewers are well representative of the product and precludes the need for further of the same on my part. As mentioned, some hooks made by others will have protective pads on all three bar contact surfaces (back, bottom front) but these, as pictured, do not include any for the front.Tip: I take electrical tape, starting where the bar meets the inside collar, and wrap it toward the inside of the bar to just outside my normal grip area, overlapping 50% and at a slight angle, then back to the outside (three layers of tape total). You will be surprised how long this will last (years in home use, commercial applications will of course be less) and it's easy to remove and a VERY cheap method of protecting your bar) See Photos (Rep Fitness Gladiator Bar and these hooks)I am the Totally Unbiased Reviewer Dude (T.U.R.D) and that is how I see it.

This product is what we were expecting. We have another set of J hooks (from Yes4ALL) which we were comparing against. Comparing the two, they are similar but the other set we previously had, we got for less money and seems sturdier. In the photo, the Yes4ALL is on the left and the KYLIN SPORT on the right, and you can see that the Yes4ALL has some texture for nonslip and the KYLIN SPORT does not which is a minor thing since the bar bell has enough weight and knurling. The Yes4ALL has a tighter fit to the power cage and also included tightening knob to secure in place which this set of J hooks does not have. Not a huge issue why wouldn't you want it for a little extra money. In summary, this is a solid product, but you may be able to get something better for a similar price.

Got these for my rep 1100 and they fit well. The 1 inch pin doesn't extend quite as far as the rep ones, it's maybe 1/2 compared to 3/4 inch out the other side but it shouldn't matter. The pins are also not chamfered which probably doesn't matter much in the long run.Out of the box the finish seems inconsistent and the two pre-installed pads (which like the other review notes, don't fully extend out onto the hook of the J, only the flat bottom are extremely glossy once you remove the protective film. They weren't perfect to begin with and will probably look rough after awhile, which to be real is probably the case with any J cup with use. Even the factory ones are dinged up and show wear, but I just expect the glossy part to show it even more than the matte on the ones I had.On the plus side, these are cheaper, and allow me to not have to totally remove and move everything around when moving from most lifts to and from deadlifting.

I have the Fitness Reality power cage and loved it, but I don't like the J-hooks that comes with it (they are just metal without any padding). These KYLIN SPORT J-hooks are excellent replacement. I really like that each J-hook is different and reverse from each other and attaches from the outside of the rack, so they don't swing in one direction.They perfectly fit my rack and are much more convenient to put on and take off. They are very well made and sturdy; they hold my barbell and bumper weight plates with no problem. The only downside is that the plastic pad is not full; it doesn't cover the front surface. However, the plastic pad is thick and does a good job of protecting my black Olympic barbells. Overall, I highly recommend these J-hooks.

I got these to use in addition to the cotter pin type of bar holders that came with the body solid power rack.This type of holder was much easier to change positions on the track than the others one.These feel well made. The edges are smooth and the paint looks nice. The hook part has a plastic covering to protect the bar. There are screws holding the plastic plates so i assume these can be changed out once they become worn out.I looked at the dimensions when i ordered and saw they were .98 inches. The current hosts are 1.03 inches. From the picture you can see these have a slight gap. I don't believe this will be an issue for me since i never go above 315 on the bar.Very nice upgrade to the body solid rack.

Le produit est de belle qualité a la base mais il est un peu grand pour ma cage 2po de synergee. Jai réglé le problème en installant un spacer de métal de 1/8 a l'arrière. La pin de 1po dépasse a paine de 1/2 pouce a l'arrière. Cest vraiment pas beaucoup surtout avec le petit loose. Le devant du crochet n'est pas protégé, j'ai mis un peu de tape et shrinké le partie, ca protège bien. Au final une meilleur ajustement et une pin qui sort d'au moin un pouce aurait été apprécié. Domage car ils sont solide

It's nice that the j-hooks have plastic padding instead of the rubber ones. They also fit perfectly as described (2x2" w/ 1" hole diameter) racks. I only wish that there was also padding on the tip of the j-hook, but a little tape should work as well!Arrived 2 days earlier than expected.

My rack is just shy of two inches and this fit perfectly. No wobble. I’m happy. I feel it will work well.

Needed better hooks for home GYM. Fit really well and hold the bar well. The rubber padding is very good as well.
