This single burner works as well, if not better, than some of the stovetop burners I have used over the years. It heats up very quickly and, though it cycles off and on (just like glasstop stove burners do), it still maintains the necessary level of heat to cook your food. I have fixed everything from stews, noodles, hamburgers, french fries and grilled cheese sandwiches - and the burner did an excellent job on all of them. The only word of caution I have is that the surface of it is a little slick and some pans make slide off it if accidentally bumped. The burner works great and was exactly what I was looking for.

I’ve been using this Ovente double burner since December 2022 after trying out two other brands, and this is hands down the best one yet. It heats up fast, cooks evenly, and is perfect for my small space, it’s been a real lifesaver. Cleaning it is super easy, which I really appreciate. Over time, it may lose a bit of its functionality (one of my burners now stays on even after I turn it off, so I just make sure to unplug it after every use). Not a big deal for me, but something to note. Also, use small-medium sized pots or pans for even cooking. All in all, it’s reliable, simple to use, and worth every penny. I’d recommend it to anyone who needs an extra cooking surface or lives in a small apartment. Great investment, highly recommend!

this hot plate works well and maintains good temperature control for cooking. it’s compact and wipes clean easily. the only con is the unit base gets really hot to the touch while using it so use with caution and it stays hot for a long time after it’s been turned off. let it cool down for a while before putting it away

I purchased the OVENTE Countertop Infrared Single Burner, 1000W Electric Hot Plate with 7” Ceramic Glass Cooktop, 5 Level Temperature Setting. I bought this to have a spare burner for my portable solar generator build. It works fine and gets a pot of water hot. I’m happy with the quality with the burner. Pros: reasonable price, ceramic plate, water boils fast, and appears to be well made. Very light in weight. You can use any type of pots. Easy to use with a knob control. Cons: since it’s not an induction heating plate…..the unit gets very hot and takes some time to cool down. Not pleasing to the eye compared to a more expensive induction burners. Overall: Happy with the purchase.

I placed it on a silicone trivet. As my first test, I boiled one quart of water in a covered pan (see picture). It took nine minutes to reach boiling point set at Max. I added one cup of pasta and removed the cover while cooking so I could keep an eye on it. Pasta was perfectly cooked in the normal amount of time and the water remained at a steady boil throughout the cooking process. (Video attached). Burner surface was still at 368 degrees (see pictures) five minutes after it was turned off and unplugged and after 10 minutes it was still at 235 degrees. Obviously extreme caution is required around small children and curious pets to avoid serious contact burns. It's very lightweight and small enough to store pretty much anywhere. My first impression was positive. It performed as expected and better than I anticipated based on some of the reviews. I will update as time goes on if there are any issues to report. Update 4/26/24 - I have used this burner a few dozen times now since I bought it. I am especially pleased with its performance when making gravy. It maintains a steady simmer set on/or between power level 1 and 2. Regardless of what I'm cooking I don't notice any degradation in heat distribution after it reaches burner temperature and it cycles the burner to maintain the temperature without overheating. Foods still continue to cook exactly as they should without the need to fiddle with the heat knob. It maintains a steady simmer or boil as expected. Items brown nicely. Pasta cooks well. It has been very reliable so far. I love that I can place it on some butcher paper or old newspaper when I'm frying or sautéing and there is absolutely no mess to my countertops. Once it cools down it's so simple to clean with a damp cloth. I haven't used my induction stovetop in weeks. This little burner does such a great job and it has truly simplified my life because it's so portable I can cook on any surface. I just came back to purchase a second one for the times when I need two burners at once.

Cuidándolos bien duran muchísimo. La nuestra trabaja al 100%. En un año de trabajo, solo ha presentado desgastes en dos contactos internos por el exceso de calor, por lo demás son muy buenas hornillas.

Es una muy buena parrilla, si es algo resbaladiza pero pues basta con tener un poco de cuidado al poner la sartén! Se calienta rápido, es práctica, es fácil de limpiar a menos que se te caiga y queme leche): Tiene un cordón amplio para la conexión, eso siempre es muy bueno. Es muy linda y definitivamente la recomiendo mucho, vale cada peso!
