Nice, thick and plush. Love the design and color. Easy to apply and reposition but also stays in place with several dogs and people running and playing on them. So far they have stayed in place. Very happy with the quality and easy to use. Will buy more for the basement steps.

We have laminate flooring throughout the house, including our stairs. This was posing a huge issue for our senior dog who has had two knee surgeries and he was slipping up and down the stairs to the point where we were having to carry all 75 lbs of him up and down. We did not want to carpet the stairs and a custom runner was going to be thousands of dollars. Enter these tread covers.We had tried other stair tread covers before and they did not stay put, making the stairs even more dangerous for the dog and humans alike. These tread covers are AWESOME. They look nice, we're so easy to put down, and stay in place while still being movable. We can vacuum them without them lifting up, so cleaning is a breeze. They have been in place for 6 months and are still just as good as day 1. Especially for the price, these were an absolute lifesaver.

I love these carpet mats. I can't say enough good things about them. They look awesome. The quality is top notch and they make such a difference on the naked steps. They are soft and plush and bring just enough cushion and softness to each step you take. They have multiple rows of rubber on the back side of each mat to securely keep it in place. The most tedious part was removing the thin cellophane on the back of each mat before putting it in place. The rule of thumb would be patience! If you try to tear it off quickly, it will rip and you'll be peeling multiple tiny pieces one by one. If you do it slowly, you'll be able to pull it off in two pieces. The best part of this mat is it leaves no residue on your steps so when you want to remove them, you just pull them off. They say they are washable, but I haven't tried that yet to make my assessment. I did purchase a few extras in the event I need to replace a few. I highly recommend this product and would buy it again.

A good product; looks very good; sticky on oak wood stairs, so won't move, but does not have any difficult to remove adhesives; provides a comfortable, big improvement for our dog to access difficult to climb stairs.BUT, be ready for some real frustration trying to remove the cellophane backing from the sticky side. It removes unevenly, leaving difficult to see shards of cellophane that must be removed to get proper adhesion. After working on all 32 treads, I finally got the hang of it. Tools of choice: scissors, x-acto knife, small roller for more complete adhesion, a cardboard spacer to guide each tread for uniform fit against the wall.

We are doing major home renovations, including flooring. We removed the carpet from the stairs and painted them. These pads made them look so much better. Just waiting for my husband to add the side borders to the stairs and I think they will look great. They make for a good sound barrier, slip resistant, and they are soft to walk on.Peeling off the back was a pain. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. But I found if I started in the middle where it was labeled to start, raised it up one side at a time from the middle, put air between it, then pulled it slowly towards the edge, it came off much easier and cleaner.I went ahead and added carpet tape to the back. They seemed to hold pretty good without it. That was just my personal preference. I am very pleased with the finished product.

Must say, especially for the price, these did not disappoint! Originally was going to pay more for the kind that curve around the step until i found that they would not fit my smaller basement staircase. Was looking for something cozy, thick enough, with hopefully decent adhesion to painted wood stairs. These really turned out great! Used care when removing the backings, had scissors & exacto knife handy, peeled at an angle toward the outer edge, & didn't have much of a problem. I cleaned the steps thoroughly first, & applied. I have 2 toddlers that use the steps daily as well as myself & a cat, & have had no problem with them moving or sliding. They stay put. & even though they are not very padded, they do have a thick enough soft pile that its now a world of difference walking down to the basement. Actually does feel soft & cozy & does a bit of noise muffling as well. Very pleased with this purchase, especially as they had the size i needed at a good price point.

These were perfect to work with. I am a single upper 40 year old gal. No instructions needed. I did these myself. I cleaned off my steps real good. Than layed each on on the steps to see before removing the plastic off the backs of them. Easy breezy. I took the plastic off and was able to lay them in place. The great thing is these are not a glue. They are a river type stripping on back. The great news about this is if you do not like how you placed them. They are super easy to move to the place that better suits you. These are highly suggested in my book. They feel good on the bare feet and help to reduce some of the light creekint the stairs were causing.

Love the look. Love that they stay in place. Love that there is a little cushion under my feet when using the stairs.
