501 Spanish Verbs (Barron's 501 Verbs)

This book is a must have for people looking to learn Spanish. I have used this book many times during my study sessions and have found it to be very helpful. Understanding verb patterns and conjugation is essential and I’ve found that this book has helped me to understand in a way that has increased my fluency. I love the fact that there are practice exercises and other relevant references included in this book. I definitely recommend this book to beginners and intermediate level learners.

I had one of these when I was in high school. Now my kids are learning Spanish and there must be new approaches to teaching the language because they have not studied verb conjugations at all. I bought this and showed them how it works, how to conjugate verbs, and the light bulbs went on for them. I've no idea why our school's curriculum avoids verb conjugations, but with this Barron's 501 Spanish Verbs, it makes this such an easy to learn concept. Both of my kids excel in Spanish class and love learning the language. I think it's a must-have for all students. This latest version is really well organized and comes with features that my 35-year-old book did not have.

No wonder this book is in high demand. It really provides quick and easy reference material. Note that some verbs will be in the end section of the book, so look there to see what types those are so as not to get frustrated when looking in the bulk of the book. Or, read all the good stuff in the front of the book first to learn how to maximize the use of the book. I love how it's all quickly and clearly broken down in conjugations and extra info.

Really great book. Thorough and easy to read. Exactly what you would expect- I use it and rely on it. Wish they had more examples at the bottom of each verb/ page but they do include good examples. Half of every page is taken with the exact same conjugations of Haber in front of the same form of each verb, so perhaps they could simplify each page without repeating that 501 times exactly the same. Then they would have more space for examples ! But definitely recommend this book.

I purchased a paperback copy. It arrived earlier than expected in new conditions. It is exactly what is described. I knocked one star because I tried to access the online content by typing in the URL provided in the back of the book, but it always results in the 504 gateway time-out error. I triple-checked that I typed everything correctly, but it was correct. I'm at a loss. Otherwise, it's a great quick-access study tool when studying conjugations. (Note: I am taking Spanish in college and my professor recommended this book for anyone who wanted to purchase it, but it wasn't required.)

This is improved over the hard copy I purchased 5 years ago. There’s more to it than just verbs conjugations now, like a list of the 55 most essential Spanish verbs. The Kindle version is also very well cross referenced. I jump in and out of this book a lot while studying other material. It also has many great real world examples of these word in action. It’s a very important part of the material I’m using to learn Spanish.

This book has come a long way from the first Edition that my family had when I was 10 years old. If you still have the old First Edition, Second Edition etc. Recycle them, and purchase this version. It is extremely modern, and up to date with all kind of modern day information, and resources. It now has certain verbs marked at "Essential Verbs".

I really like this book; however, in order to download more useful information( online bonus content) one has to take a "little" test to ensure that one has actually purchased the book. Well! It wasn't that simple I had to jump through several hoops you'd think I was looking for lost treasure! It kept telling me the answers were wrong when in fact the answers I took from the book were verbatim! So, if you buy this book, good luck accessing the online bonus content! The bottom line, I was eventually allowed to access the " bonus online content" which I feel should just be provided within the book! I don't like treasure hunts.
