After a week or two of heavy use however, the plastic mechanism snapped off(see picture) which made it much more smooth. Still 5 stars because besides that I don't think it has effected performance. They lock down on the bar good and tight. The one had release is actually a pretty nice feature to have. My only complaint is that the magnet on side could be a little stronger. It sticks to the rack but sometime I would put it on and it would slide down a little. Not off but down and it would stop and stay there.
