Feels good to do good for the planet

I love these razors, the handle doesn't slip in my hand, the razor heads are light, it gives a nice smooth shave and they're obviously marketed as better for the planet which I love!

I use these because of my nickel allergy. The lubricating strip used to be vitamin e and now they are aloe. I emailed the company and so far all they have said to me is that these are only sold on Amazon. I’ll have to find another safe razor.

I've been using the Preserve razor system for years; not because I'm particularly in love with the shave it gives, but because I hope it's a bit more natural than other big-name brands. I have temperamental, bump-prone skin that hates being shaved, so I never expect a perfect shave from any razor, but was interested in giving these a shot. As you can see from my comparison photo, these new heads are shaped very differently than the original Preserve Shave 5 heads. They're slimmer and more compact, and lack the soap bar of the originals. Personally, I didn't miss the soap bar - I've always felt it is way too slimy/gunky the first couple shaves, and useless the rest of the time. In all other ways, I felt that this blade was equal to the originals. It gave me a decent (if imperfect) shave and didn't cause any irritation (beyond what my skin whines about regularly). Price-wise, these seem comparable to the original heads (at least on Amazon). As another reviewer said, it's probably not worth switching from the razors you already use unless being eco-friendly is very important to you, but if you've been using Preserve all along like I have, these might be worth the switch.

Got the preserve 5 as a promo. Fell in love. The blade that came in it was like these. Best damn blade I'd ever shaved with. No cuts, no ingrown hairs. Bliss. So I went looking for more. The first blades I found were not these. Sure they were 5 bladed, but when I pulled on out to examine it - it was identical to the ones my husband got from Amazons own brand on prime day. (They're pretty good too, just wanted the original blade) finally found these, with barely any reviews, let alone positive. Couldn't believe it, bc I'm probably gonna use this razor with these blades til hell freezes over or they are no longer manufactured. My razor unicorn 🦄

These as brand new are sharp and great to handle the shaving. The pack comes with 4 of them and it turns out to be $4 each which is a bit more pricey or at least on par with others out there. Bonus, if you have some old handles laying around, it actually works with less fancy shavers so test it out! I found that it worked with my partners female shaver handle.
