I bought this for my son's birthday. He really likes it. At first he thought it would be too small for his laptop computer. But when he tried it, he was very happy that it fit great and was a compact size

Probably the nicest backpack I have evwr owned.

This is a very well constructed day pack with a well-padded sleeve for a laptop. It's got straps on the bottom so that you can expand the main compartment to full width or have it as slim as possible, depending on what you need. The back has a sleeve that allows it to slip over the handles of my rollerbag suitcase, which is a big plus. The interior has a couple of pockets, although I'd prefer a few more. On the outside there's a small pocket at the top perfect for keys or a few other items and a zippered vertical pocket big enough for a phone. The stitching and materials are, as you would expect, first quality and it should be very durable.

I was considering this and a North Face Borealis bag, and this was a a much better bag, despite being a bit more expensive. Quality feeling zippers, convenient layout, packs down small when not filled, super comfortable and has nice features like metal buckles, elastic to hold excess straps, removable and positionable sternum straps, etc. I was impressed with the Borealis as well, but this was the clear winner as a work bag.

Granted, it’s an upgrade from a grungy old North Face backpack I’ve been using for 15 years, so my standards are probably low….but I LOVE this backpack. It has a simple and clean look and tons of pockets so you can stay organized. It distributes weight evenly to prevent you from having sore shoulders or a sore back. And perhaps my favorite, it lays nice and flat so it stows neatly underneath a cattle class airline seat. My only complaint is I wish the water bottle compartment was a little bigger, but I imagine it’ll stretch with use to fit my big ol’ Yeti bottle. I highly recommend this!
