So Far I’m Pretty Impressed
I just received my sander today and so far I’m pretty impressed. I have never used the more expensive sanders so I can’t compare it to others but I think it works pretty good. There are 2 things that could make it better in my opinion. The cord is really short but a drop cord can fix that. Also the angle of handle is a little weird. I haven’t figured out if it can be adjusted yet but I hope that it can. So far I’m happy that I chose this one.

Front handle that folds down to give you more control bumped this from three starts to four stars
It's not Makita quality but it's not Harbor Freight tools quality either. Fair quality for the cost. The lower speeds are pretty worthless.I do like that the handle can angle a bit and that front handle that folds down to give you more control bumped this from three starts to four stars. Great idea! The bag attachment nozzle does not fit on my shop vac attachment that I have for a more standard sander.

Reasonable Sander But Could Have More Torque
The media could not be loaded. I've had good luck with other Wesco products and looked forward to testing this sander. It did reasonably well. I'm not sure why anyone would use the lower speeds it provides but if you do use them, it could use some more torque at the lower speeds. Read on for our impressions.Out of the box:This sander comes with everything you need. It's got 60, 80, and 100 grit paper to get you started. An adjustable handle on the front can help you get some leverage but only adjusts in 3 positions. It also has a dust takeup on the back with a little bag to collect it. The port isn't standard, so it will take some adapting modifications to hook up a vacuum.Operation:This Wesco sander operates as I expected. I found that only the max setting only works for me. The lower settings will stop oscillation when pressure is applied to the sander, leaving a big mark on the wood. The max speed works the best, and I would suggest one only ever uses it at the max speed. The hook and loop paper grips well and holds in place with the air intake holes still aligned after using it for several minutes. The dust collection is good, and the provided canister catches a lot of the dust and is a great convenience not to have excess dust spread around the shop. The palm hold is comfortable and I had good control while using it. Its rare when I would want to use the front hand hold that the sander provides.

good for horizontal
This is a good sander for horizontal surfaces. It is not as easy to use on vertical surfaces as it is heavier than most sanders. Worked well on horizontal butcher block tops. Was difficult to use for beams. It seems the only worthy setting is the fastest setting. Comes with a few sheets of sand paper. I do wish the sawdust port were round, it is oval, which is more difficult to match for a shop vac.

Decent basic sander
This is decent for a basic sander. It comes with different grit pads for whatever project you are working on and it is easy to find replacement pads for this style as well. I would recommend for home DIY or craft projects for every now and then. Little bit bulky and heavy.

Get's the job done
Got this orbital sander to sand down my deck before staining. It handled the job well. I initially thought of getting a battery powered one but due to the size of my deck I gave up on the idea. The sanding process was easy, just make sure you wear the proper protective equipment. I had no issue with running it for hours straight and over days. The dusk collection bag does it's job as well, even though you still have fair amount of dust flying around but the majority does get picked up and you just need to empty it once in a while. The variable speed control works well and the handle bar allows you to hold onto the tool as well as apply the necessary force for some harder to clean up areas.I was able handle about 1000sq ft of deck and stairs with this tool and would say this is great for house hold jobs.

great
The media could not be loaded. I bought this random orbital sander to refinish my dining table. The sander is powerful and works great at good speed. The sander has 6 variable speed control option which is great. The dust collection bag is easy to use and clean. The sander is not very heavy and the lightweight design makes it easy on hands. Comes with 12 pieces of sanding paper.
