They are a bit harder to get off but that's not necessarily a bad thing, it means they're snuggly in place and your charger port is well protected from water and dirt. I'm not find of the silicone/rubber because it makes me sweat and itch more than leather but this watch doesn't have a leather iron. That said this material is at least softer than the original and feels much more durable and flexible.
