Works well! Kind of messy, but very effective
Love the pink color so you can quickly see which horses already have some on and which horses still need it applied. No wasting time applying it twice, etc. I just use a little of the product (apply with my fingers) around (but not close to) horse's eyes and ears - think football players' black face paint lines, kinda. Then the horse is set for hours if not the whole day. It will start to come off with sweat (why you should not put it above or too close to the eyes!) Horses don't love having it put on, which is expected, and it can appear messy. But who cares, it works!

Insect repellant that lasts
I can apply the ointment directly around a wound area and the flies and gnats are gone and stay away for hours. It's better than a spray when taking care of a wound. Wounds take a long time to heal though, and it's already almost half gone. I would like to have a bigger container with more. Also, the first time I left it in the shed, it melted because it was so hot. This is summer in California; temps are in the 100s right now. I think there should be instruction on the back of the jar to keep in a cool place. I bring it in and keep in the refrigerator. Overall, I really like it!

Works great!
My poor pigs had flies biting the tips of their ears causing bloody sores. I applied the ointment around the wounds and immediately the flies were gone. I checked several hours later and still no flies! This works very well.

great product
During shipping the lid came off and some product escaped but most of it is still there. Not returning this but simply suggesting a better packaging such as a plastic bag or tape, etc. Ruth

Keeps the pesky flies away from the dog.
This works! I dab some on my dogs ears (top half) and it keeps the darn flies away! It will last a few days unless you wash him, gets wet or is too hot. Nothing worked before. I had to put tape on his ears but he'd take it off and the flies always found a way to get in. It will also keep away those pesky little gnats that likes to hover on his eyes or nose. I also dab or smear a little on his middle back and a bit on his tail as you know flies eat at anything. IT REALLY WORKS! Must have one of these in your pet's first aid kit.
