Should have been 5 stars, but...
5 stars for the content of the book. 3 stars because it arrived damaged.

Definitely recommend
We really like this book because it covers opposites in a more fun way. Plus it helps with vocabulary by using a good variety of words they don’t hear on a daily basis, such as, “perplexing.”

Story about Opposites
We needed a few different books specifically about opposites for an ELA lesson. This was different than the typical with an actual story.

Not your ordinary opposites book; covers concepts even HS kids struggle grasping, but does it well.
A survey of opposites and introduction to how relative position or a new perspective can make those change.Yes and no, day and night are easy to proclaim as opposites. But what is near and far? Is it the chair at the other end of the room or the country on the other side of the globe or the planet way out in space? This does a good job of introducing comparisons that rely on position or perspective and can change as your view changes. That's a difficult concept for many intro to physics students in middle or high school, but this breaks the concept down in a way even little kids can understand. Highly recommended when you're working on comparison words or relative measurements.
