It doesn’t work as advertised
Don’t waste your money, it’s inconvenient and takes forever to activate. The tap button doesn’t work unless u already have the app open which defeats the purpose. And when u open the app to activate you have to go through 4 prompts and click join to connect to the camera the whole process takes a over a minute. When you’re backing up it’s super inconvenient. Not worth the money

A wireless backup camera that does not want to be installed in 5 minutes.
Very disappointed with this 1080p solar and wireless backup camera. Type S. It refuses to pair with my cell phone no matter what I try. A separate TAP button for an easier camera launch is no where to be seen, despite being clearly shown on product information. The package arrived with no outer box. A motivated porch thief would know exactly what was sitting there. Luckily I was at home when the driver dropped it off. There is no way this system is going to enhance the backup visibilty in my 2008 Nissan. I will try 2-3 more times to get it up and running...otherwise, that sucker is going back for a full refund.

Works pretty good if you can get it to pair
I've got an older truck that I love. We've been through thick and thin and even though my ol' truck doesn't have any fancy electronics on it, I've been just fine. I can hook up a trailer by myself like nobody's business. I have been doing it for 40yrs and know exactly where it is. (Plus or minus an inch.) But.... I'm getting lazy and if this thing can help me get me to the lake faster and easier, I'll give it a try.First thing is installation is a breeze. It goes where your license plate goes. No problem. My plate area was a little tight and this plate frame's solar panel was a bit bulky but I was able to make it fit without issues. Secondly, the app was straight forward and I was able to pair the license plate without issue. I have a Samsung S22 so my phone is fairly up to date. The only real hiccup I had was with app permissions. The permissions have to allow both GPS location and "use precise location". I don't know why it needs my precise location, but it does. (As long as they don't tell anybody where my fishing spots are, I think I'm OK.) See my screenshot.Next, the button. I had a much harder time trying to get it to work. I was able to find the button and try and pair but it never acknowledged completion. After several tries, I was ready to give up. I went through the app and tried to see if there were any settings I might have missed. There were none - again, very straightforward app. I was only able to figure out that I could turn on the camera after I loaded up the app. Apparently the button is supposed to notify the phone and then you can open the app and use the camera. Mine doesn't work that way. I have to open the app, then press the button and the camera will wake up and connect. Once the button is pressed though, the video feed loads up pretty quickly and works fine. The video feed resolution is pretty good. Color, saturation, and contrast is as good as expected. The live feed has a slight delay, maybe half a second or so. It's not any worse than any other webcam type video. The viewing angle is plenty and the parking lines are easy to adjust as needed. Simply hold the screen for 3 seconds and then adjust. One of the features this backup camera touts is night vision. I waited until about 30 minutes after sunset. It want pitch black yet but there was minimal light. The camera alone was not able to make out anything aside from outlines. After putting the truck in reverse, the reverse lights were able to give enough lighting that the camera picked up my trailer. I suppose this is expected. Cameras need lights to work, unless it's got some kind of infrared night vision, it's just not going to work.I don't have much experience with battery life since I don't use it a ton, but everytime I turn it on the battery is full so I assume the solar recharge is working as it should. I have yet to run out of battery. I suppose I could leave it on live and see how much battery time I get but that's about as fun as watching paint dry.Overall, I like it. I find myself only using it for attaching the hitch so in my eyes, it does what it needs to do. I don't mind opening the app first and then pressing the button. That doesn't bother me one bit. If the night vision was better, I'd give it 5-stars.

Backing up is a lot more safe
I have an older SUV. It did not have a rear camera. It was hard to see behind the vehicle. Now I can see when I back up.

Such Potential!
1.) I put this on my 2007 Porsche 911 with a manual transmission. The signal / connectivity cuts in and out which seemed to get worse when I rev'd the engine so I'm going to not recommend this for a rear/mid-engine car...a wired solution is probably the only option.2.) The instructions were weak but with a lil network procedural knowledge I was able to troubleshoot. A layperson probably would have given up.

Unable to maintain a connection with license plate camera attached to a 10 Ft popup camper.
The picture and viewing angle is superb, however for us older folks the image displayed on a smartphone is a bit small. I am returning this product only due to the BT issues.

Lets hang out in the patking lot
It took 2 ling 2 set up, the button didnt work and can you imagine taking up to 5 minutes to park? U have to stop, pyll out ur cell, find the app, wait almost 1 minute 4 it 2 open, then wait 2 c if the button connects, then for the camera to connect then hold the camera and back uo at the same time. I could've been done in 30 second with out it instead of 3-5 minutes.
