I use a little strap to attach the cable to the headset so I am not leaving all the weight on the connector and reduce the chance of damage.As soon as I plug it in, the Oculus software recognises the device and all works as expected.Just make sure you have it running through a fast enough USB port. Works Perfectly for medium high end consumers of the quest 2 with a suitable PC that can run VR games on their Workstations, because there is enough bandwidth to negate screen tear.
