Will this stay adhered to a carpet "roll?" i'm looking to use it for a large temporary carpet rug that i roll up after every use. any issues?

I don’t know about rolling it up regularly. After I installed the edge banding I rolled it up until it could be placed on the floor where it would stay and had no problems.

What is the measurement of margin of this product extending the edge of carpet?

Would this work on a rug that gets wet?

It should - at least for a time. The fabric wouldn't be the problem, it's the glue that might wear out. I wouldn't use it on an outdoor rug - nothing that gets soaked frequently. Some wet feet should be no problem. Hope this helps.

Is it possible to bind just one side of the rug

You bind around the outside edge of the rug, not the top or bottom.
