Did not perform well at ALL!
DO NOT PURCHASE! Poorly made water phone. I’m sorry but I did anything possible and the product would not make the noise that a waterphone is supposed to make. I added water, ensured the product was being used properly but was EXTREMELY underwhelmed when it didn’t work?! Save your time and money.

Good instrument
I've wanted one for literally 2 decades. Finally went for it despite bad reviews. It's exactly as described. Plays very well, video is 5 minutes after taking it out of the box. My guess was the previous buyers don't know about bow rosin, the clean stainless rods are slippery. Sounds amazing and I look forward to getting better at it with practice. (Just like any other instrument)

This really works!
Bought for show through my wife's work account...so my review may not say verified purchase...but we did purchase it and this review is unsolicited. It works great! Just what I wanted and we needed. Things you HAVE to do to make it work: put water in the base, bass bow works well, and bow MUST be applied with Rosin or it won't have enough friction to make a sound. Arrived quickly and packaged well. It does come with a wrapped rope handle on the top (not pictured on the listing but you can see in a previous review photo...which I like on there) but we will see how durable it is. Going to treat as moderately delicate. No case and no accessories included (so no bow or mallets included)
