Perfect for scleral lens removal
These work perfect for removing my scleral lenses! Easy to use, great suction, works on the first try! Ordered these after ordering a different brand. The other brand had no suction and I had to throw them away. These are pricy, but worth the extra money! Love that they were packaged nicely.

Perfect for removing my scleral rigid gas permeable contact lenses
I ordered this set of 10 bright orange contact lens removers to stash in my purse, car, nightstand, travel contact lens supplies bag, mom’s house, etc. It is terribly difficult to remove scleral lenses without a remover tool like this and I have been caught without one before. These are perfect for removing my scleral rigid gas permeable lenses. Wet the tiny remover suction cup before trying to attach the lens you are wearing. Otherwise the lens is more suctioned to your eyeball than the tool. Sometimes it is hard to pull the lens off of this tool once out of the eye. Rotate the tool and try to spin it to the edge of the contact which will release the suction. It may help to drip some extra saline solution on the surface of the lens to help the tool slide while you’re spinning it. The lenses are so expensive that I do everything I can to avoid stressing them by pulling hard on them. (If you’re not familiar with scleral lenses, they are RGP lenses that sit on the sclera (white part) of your eye and bridge over the cornea. You fill them with saline before raising them to your eye for insertion. If you have irregular corneas they will take them out of the equation. The lenses are larger than soft lenses.)I recommend these for hard, rigid gas permeable (RGP), and scleral lenses. The suction cup is smaller than a traditional hard lens. This tool would not work at all with soft lenses.

NOT FOR SCELERA LENSES!!!
Because I can't give it zero stars. These are NOT for scelera lens even though they say they are. These inverters are ridiculously small and are meant for gas permeable lenses not scelera. I'm super frustrated because I not only checked and verified these were for sceleras but most of the comments say they're perfect for scelera lenses which isn't true. They will suction but as soon as you attempt to remove the lense the suction releases. Thankfully my eye dr sent me home with one. This listing is very misleading

Wish I'd had these years ago
I've been a contact lens wearer for a few decades and I have hard gas permeable lenses. They are rare among contact lens wearers. Most people wear soft lenses, but they didn't work for my astigmatism. To take out your contacts, hard lens wearers are taught to lean forward over one cupped hand, and tug at the outside corner of their eyes with your other to create tension in the lid, and blink. Most of the time, that pops the contact out into your awaiting hand. Sometimes it doesn't work the first, second, or third time -- especially depending on how many hours you've had them in, whether your eyes are dry, puffy, etc. Sometimes when they pop out they do not go into your hand but fly off into the distance, forcing you to blindly search for them and hope you don't hear a crunch. As I get older too, I'm wondering how bad it is to continue to pull at my eyes every day. Aren't I trying to prevent wrinkles? For whatever reason, even though this method had been mostly working for years, as time went on, it seemed like it was getting harder and harder for my lenses to come out the way I'd always been removing them. It was always taking multiple tries. Usually worse for one eye than the other, but you can't sleep in hard lenses, so they have to both come out each night. Anyway -- after a terrible night of literally not being able to remove one of my contacts for over an hour, I knew I had to find a different way to solve this and I found these. They take my lenses out pretty much on the first try, every time. There's never a concern about where the lens will land when removed -- it's always on this little suction cup. If you try it and encounter any issues either with getting the lens to stick to the suction cup or removing it once it's on there, I recommend pre-wetting the suction cup with a little water or preferable contact solution. These are so simple, but they made such a difference for me. Hopefully, they will for you too.
