Good replacement disc brake pads
The OEM pads squeal. Put these pads on and the squeal is gone. Hope to have longevity.

Best of the Best
Side by side comparison with stock Formula Oro pads I cannot tell a difference. I have stocked up and bought 3 sets of these pads. I will buy more of these just a great deal. They stop very well and do not squeal. Wear is comparable to the other brands.Update: 10-20-2012 These pads have great wear. This is my 2nd set I have replaced and consistant as the prior. All fit is exact with no rubbing or brake squeal. I'm about to sell my bike and will use these on my new bike. Again...great deal.

They Do The Job
I have only had one ride with these so far and it was a race. They did an okay job of stopping, just as good as the original pads did. I would rate these brake pads as equal to the original pads that came with my formula brakes. They squeaked a little at first while I was trying to brake them in. I would recommend these to another. The only reason I didn't give this a perfect score is that I think they could have just a bit stronger grab.

No more squeaking!
I bought Avid BB7 for my last bike build and quickly experienced severe brake squeak after a couple of rides. Followed the bedding in process, kept adjusting and cleaning the pads and rotors with no luck solving the problem. I replaced the stock pads with these and completely resolved the issue!. Be sure to "bed in" the pads as instructed. The pads have a softer feel but bit real well. Great improvement.

The Bomb for the Bomb
My daily return commute takes me down some of Seattle's steepest hills. After some experimenting and much puckering, I have eternally settled on these for my lifesaving brakes.I have tried running regular resin brakes and have found them about 65% effective. Once the kool-stops have quickly bedded-in, they are 100% effective.By the time I get down to Lake Union, my discs are actually sizzling HOT. The Kool-stops can take a daily parachute run and will laugh it off for 6 months. As they eventually wane, they gracefully start to fade rather than dangerously disintegrating, giving you ample warning that they needs a-changing.In fact they grip so hard that I don't trust my A.D.D. self riding with Kool-stops on my front brakes, and run the Shimano resins in front to stop me locking up my front wheel after I come out of my 40mph dream haze and process the senior citizen/rat/squirrel/haughty hipster etc. crossing my path.If you are closer to neuro normal and can pay attention to surroundings, I would wholeheartedly recommend these brakes on the front or back wheel of any bike. When I placed an order for the rectanguloid Shimano pads with the single tab, I was never graced with an actual picture of the actual final product (that I wanted AND got) from the seller. Pay attention to the part number you need and if the part number looks good on your final order, you WILL get the correct brake pads. C'mon Mr./Mrs. brake seller!- it's a leap for customers to commit when the model number is good and the picture shows some "who-knows-what" brake pad!!"Buy me and stop one" vs. "Drink the Kool-aid."

Transformed my Formula C1!!!
Long story short: if you hate your Formula brakes, give these pads a try before you throw them out.Read on:My 2014 Specialized Epic Comp came with Formula C1 brakes, which is universally hated if you Google it. The C1s gave a mushy feeling at the levers and were underpowered, and they squeal like madness and were embarrassing to use on the trail. As a courtesy, my LBS bled the brakes and lubricated the pistons. This helped a bit but they were still under powered with no modulation to speak of. Using these brakes were only slightly better than jamming a golf club in between your spokes to stop.I tolerated these brakes for about 700km until the stock pads were worn, and I was ready to toss them out and buy a pair of XTs. By some miracle my buddy gave me a pair of these Kool Stop pads to try and MY GOD did they transformed the crappy C1s!! My brakes are now QUIET and actually have power! I immediately went on Amazon to buy another pair for my rear brake. The backing plates are red, and I think they made my C1s look more expensive, which is an added bonus!

Doing the job!
Installed in the rear set of my GT I-Drive Four 2.0 and they're stopping really well, after about a half-hour riding of break-in. I can't tell if they're much-improved over stock, as I'm not quite sure if I had stock pads in the brakes before this or not, the bike was purchased used but these are working well and I'll probably buy another pair for the front.

Still the best
I’ve used Kool Stops on rim brakes for years. They’re great.I wasn’t sure if their disc pads would be as good. Happy to say they are - superb stopping power.
