Good for the money
The Good: 1) It pulls in stations from far and wide, when you press the preset button. It automatically presets 30 slots for FM. I was impressed with this function. It filled all 30 FM stations from 88.9 to 107.9. In comparison with my Sony Walkman WM F2081 (32 years old (1991 edition), still going strong--sort of--the tape deck does not work, because the rubber band lost its elasticity), I was surprised it pulled in the classic station, 88.9. I have another Walkman, WM FX275 (1999 edition; the rubber band is also shot), made in Malaysia, that reproduces FM music in similar quality to WM F2081. FX275's reception is superior to F2081, pulling in stations not detectable in F2081. 2) The mid range and the treble are loud and clear. I have to keep the volume lever at12 or so. 3) The size matters, and it is compact. Thinner than a deck of cards, just 1/2 inch longer, and 1/8 inch narrower. The Bad: 1) the mid range and treble are excellent, but the bass--the beat that makes your body move--is but a faint suggestion. I am talking about listening through the earphones, not the built-in speaker. Compared to above-mentioned Sonys, there is a day and night of difference. The Sonys present a balanced musicscape over the entire spectrum, while Prunus gives prominence to the mid range and treble. 2) This may not be fair, but the built-in speaker is not what you want to hear, if you want to enjoy music. It is just a tinny noise, not music. For gathering spoken info, then, it does the job. 3) There is no indicator for the battery level.Overall, for the money, it is worth having. But the electronics is not the same as Sony Walkmans. The Walkman is bulky, weighs many times more, yet the quality of music is far superior to that of Prunus. Yet, as far as FM reception is concerned, Prunus beats them all, both F2081 and FX275.

Great little radio!
I needed to replace my transiter radio that I had been using at ball games for the past 20 years.I had noticed some reviews criticizing the performance of this radio and especially about the amplitude modulation (AM).Here is my point. This radio is not the AM/FM Sony Walkman you purchased 20 years ago, and either is the price point. If you're looking to purchase one of those they are averaging over 100 bucks or more if you can find them. The AM is not bad. It was pretty clear at the ballgame. The FM is better than most I havelistened to in this price range. What really surprised me is this radio also has FM stereo. Put on a better pair of headphones and wow! Not bad at all. The external speaker also sounds pretty good.So bottom line is for this little money people you get more than what you paid for, but don't try and compare it to a Sony AM/FM Walkman.

very good radio. for the proce
Very good quality. Yhose servuce hour figures on this page? Boost them about 60% by using alkaline cells. The little speaker does ok, but on good phones the sound is crystal clear hifi stereo. AM is inherently less, but still deceny. Whiile signal sensitivity could be slighyly better, this one is a winner for it's price class. GET ONE!

Pocket radio serves a good purpose
This is a fine little radio for the nighttime purposes it was purchased for. It's small enough to sit under a pillow, and with an earbud, the sound quality is very satisfactory. Without an earbud, the volume control is good; the sound quality is clear and is about what one should expect from a tiny radio. It's not junky, but not what a larger radio might offer. There are features about the case I wish were different for navigating the controls in the darkness at night, but overall, it was a good purchase.

Works great
5 stars due to the price. Decent construction, reception and sound. Well worth the price.

Works great
I use it on my bike. I tape it to the frame with electrical tape. E-bike rides are long and much more enjoyable with the baseball game playing or NASCAR. I do have a couple favorite music stations also.

Fit my needs.
This radio is just what I needed for work. I listen AM most of the time and the lanyard insures that the radio is not dropped when I have to bend over.

Sound
Compact, easy to charge, great sound. This little radio tucks away as it doesn’t take up very much room, and sounds clear and emits over a large area.

Amazing little thing
I purchased this FM radio as a gift for my mother and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. Despite its small size, the volume of this radio is surprisingly high and the reception is crystal clear, making it easy to enjoy all our favorite radio stations. The addition of an LED light is also a great feature, especially in case of power outages or during camping trips. The rechargeable battery capacity is outstanding, as it lasts for an extended period before needing a recharge. This makes it incredibly convenient to use on-the-go, without the need to constantly worry about battery life.Overall, I strongly recommend this FM radio to anyone looking for a reliable and high-performing radio that is both portable and functional. It is an excellent value for the price and I am confident that it will exceed your expectations.

Great Portable Radio
I bought this radio mainly for its ability to play mp3 files, it is much easier for oldies like me to download music onto a USB instead of a Micro SD card. Just plug it into the USB slot on the radio and it will automatically play the downloaded music. The sound quality is pretty good. As for the radio section, you really have to go around and look for the right spot for good reception without static, once the sweet spot is found, it is crystal clear. And for the battery life, it took a pretty long time to charge for the very first time, but once it is charged, it can last up to a week without charging again. Overall, great buy.
