In an effort to help my fellow tinkerers who are simply looking for a REAL Lithium-ion (Li-ion) charger, this is it. I know that it has other settings, but I was only concerned with Li-ion battery charging and this charger performed excellently. I needed a specific charger for a specific battery and this charger specifications were perfect. I spent hours looking for a dedicated Li-ion charger and there didn't seem to be any that absolutely claimed to do this well. I needed a specific amount of amperage, and this charger was again perfect. I started the charging with the battery at 11.91V DC and the charger applied 5.8 amps (I was real happy to see that) so at that point I realized that the "smart aspect" was probably accurate, it didn't start pounding 12 amps right off the bat (which I was prepared to instantly disconnect if I saw that). Amperage started appropriately dropping throughout the charging process at a rate that I thought was correct. The battery never got hot, and the charger stayed cool also. I monitored the charging process the whole time because the battery I was charging was new and unknown to me, and I didn't want to damage it. The charging cables and AC line are (in my opinion) extremely small and undersized but did not cause any problems nor did they get warm to the touch. I do not know how far the charging would have proceeded, I stopped it at 12.6V because this battery is a unique proprietary unit and I did not want to "experiment". LA, LiFePO4, Ni-cad, etc. chargers are easy to find (and I have plenty) but if you need a true Li-ion charger for a medium sized battery (mine was 13500mAh) this charger works great. Highly recommended.

This multi-type battery charger was purchased in 2022 and never used until today to charge a dead LiFePo ATV battery. In a matter of minutes the display showed 100% and we were back in business. This unit is small, compact, and worked like a charm. Glad we had it! We paid $39 for it in 2022 and now it’s $10 less. Definitely a good value.

This is a good charger and charges quickly with a really nice display screen that tells you a bunch of numbers that I still only kind of understand but am getting better about it and I like that it's not just, red light, green light because I like to know what's happening. It's quiet and can sometimes get a little warm but it never became a serious issue but recently the end of one of the the alligator clips came off and I rewired it on, no problem and it still worked but then about a week later it just doesn't even come on when I plug it in. I really liked this charger because it was easy to use and charged fairly quickly but I really don't think I am particularly rough with it and only have had it I believe close to two years maybe if even that. Controlled obsolescence is very real.

Great charger

Works great, easy to use. Make sure you select the correct battery type before walking away. I got to charge a couple of new Lithium motorcycle batteries, but great that I can use on the old car lead acid ones also.

It's been a good charger. I use it on both 12v and 24v LiFoP4 batteries. It lasted 1 yr and 9 months. Today it gave a load bang and then let all the smoke out. Opened it and as expected found a blown cap, 47uF at 63V rating. I fully expect it to work again after I get a replacement cap. Well I installed the new Cap and also found 2 other parts that were not soldered correctly and not making contact. After installing the new cap and correcting the two bad solder connections I tested the charger. It will not charge, it's no good. I now do not recommend this device.

This gadget totally revived a 12 volt deep cycle lead acid battery that would not hold a charge. The repair mode actually works!!!

this will do 12 amps which is more than enough unless your battery is totally dead and you have to go somewhere in 10 minutes...at this rate it will not damage the battery and the only reservation i might have over time is the light gauge of the positive and negative cables and the very short power cord. the unit itself is very small and lightweight, and the display is nice and easy to read and understand. i have an amg battery in my truck and like to top it off since it sits alot, this charger has a specific function for that design. i might get a second since i have vehicles that sit and are hooked up to 1 amp trickle chargers. they usually need to be disconnected and connected again to 'maintain' charge, this charger also has a specific function that i plan on testing to see if it is truly a trickle charger that requires no oversight. highly recommend.
