It is necessary adapter if you want to use USB-C PD Power Source
I've been looking for a long time for a 12-volt power source replacement. Finally, I found it. I don't have to carry anymore different power adapters in travel. It's enough to have one USB-C PD Power adapter or Power Bank. Yes, this power pipe is a bit expensive but it works and provides 12 volts. The photo shows that the cable output is 11.99 volts. Also, for example, TV Ears headphones are shown – they are required 12 volts.

Works to power my Feelworld monitor when other cables wouldn't.
Worked as advertised. I think the barrel end of the cable could be a little more snug but there were no issues during a full day of shooting.

Handy 12v USB PD power trigger cable
Handy 12v USB PD power trigger cable. Comes with some common sized DC barrel adapters. I use it to power a Maestro III 12v powered laptop that I use for Amateur Radio applications.

It appears to be EXTREMELY picky about USB-C power sources
It is advertised to work with Power Delivery equipped USB-C power sources.Of all my gear, it only works with the PD USB-C port on one Anker 5-port USB power brick. It doesn't work with my Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD power bank, which is stated to support 12V PD on its USB-C port. The Atomos Ninja V just won't fire up with it, which kind of fails the purpose for me.

Works for Elektron Syntakt
There are other reviews that state that this cable does not work with the Syntakt, but I am using it successfully. Bear in mind that the battery used to power the Syntakt must have an output of at least 2 amps in order to get the Syntakt to power on.

Works for Elektron Syntakt
I used this cable successfully to power a Syntakt. Note that the cable will simply request the power bank to output 12V, you need to make sure that the power bank used supports that PD option and has enough output power to deliver the required current.

Doesn't power a "compatible device", Elektron Syntakt
Just as the title says. The Syntakt is a 12v, 2a system and USB-C PD can push 3a at 12v, more than enough wiggly room. The plug structure is correct too, so that's not gonna explain it. Only explanation is the cable doesn't do what it claims. I have a replacement coming as well as a competitor cable, but I don't expect anything. I'll update this review is the new one works. Otherwise, this review stands.Basic story, plug in, no life. My usb-C PD cable from another manufacturer powers my Maschine+ with no issues, which draws more power than Syntakt does at a higher voltage.

Works great for charging any barrel 12v device
Use this for my S&b Mighty. Works great but it's way to short!! I had to buy a usbc extension to use this. At this price point I shouldn't have to spend another 20$ on an extension. If this was 3ft or longer I'd give it 5*
