Glossy, well-illustrated, large-format F1 themed volume
As soon as one sees this book, it is apparent that this it has been produced to a high-quality standard in every respect. The well-known author, Tony Dodgins, has many years involvement with F1 and motor racing journalism of the highest calibre (Autosport, Motoring News and F1 Racing among others) and, together with the foreword by Mark Webber, it promises an informative and enjoyable read.Having many years interest in F1, I found the book very Impressive in size, content and presentation. Paper and printing are first-rate- and the glossy/matt printed dust-jacket really grabs one's attention before the book is even opened.Inside the book, the contents do not disappoint... the theme of the book, F1 'Duels', stretch from the era of Manuel Fangio and Alberto Ascari in the 1950s, though to the present day with Lewis Hamilton's on-track tussles with Max Verstappen. The high-quality photographs interspersed throughout the text are not just fillers to pad out the book but have been carefully chosen to illustrate the dramas and close racing of the racing Duels which the book so admirably describes.I can honestly say I enjoyed reading every page of this book and found much of new interest to me in the author's writing.... and I have been 'into' F1 since the days of Brabham, Clark and Surtees....!if you have an interest in F1 past or present - or you are seeking a gift for a F1 fan - this excellent book is a must.
