Carhartt Utility Roll Organizer, Durable, Water-Resistant Tool Roll

Awesome tool roll for my carving tools, different width pockets fits a variety of items easily, adjustable straps keep everything tight. Handle is conventient, and velcro pockets will hold small stuff. Overall well built, usual Carhart quality, strong fabric, straps and buckles. Only minor gripe is one flap covers all pockets, meaning you have to open all to open one, would have been better with individual flaps, but this is really a nit.

For us photographers, it's tough to find a way to carry our gear in something easily accessible and organized. Sure, some camera bags are full of misc pockets, but that's not what I was looking for. I wanted something I could roll open and just like a mechanic--pick the tool I needed. External Hard Drives, Memory Card Case, batteries...you name it. For me the Carhartt tool roll is just what the doctor ordered. I absolutely love this thing. With the additional purchase of a $3 seam ripper from Wally World, I could customize this thing to be the perfect camera accessory. The canvas material doesn't leave any remnants of holes from removing the seams. Thank you Carhartt for making a product that is versatile and durable.

Pros: well made, as all carhartt products are! I like the 3 wee pouches (wish they were zippers instead of velcro tho) Cons: Like 1-2 inches too small in the width. A lot of what I consider medium sized tools do not fit at all. Because some pouches are huge, unless you have a specific item to fit in it, a regular handle tool will wobble around. I put sharpies in between and was able to put two per pouch, but then the overlap doesn't quite work. I REALLY wish it had side flaps to fold over and add extra protection from dust, dirt, moisture, and debris. The sides are open to everything, so any water resistance is irrelevant. I have a lot of fine woodworking tools that I had hoped to be able to include, but that's not really possible with this. Good for utilitarian tools that can take a beating and don't need to maintain an edge, only I might add some waxed denim flaps at some point, but for now I'm happy using this as my "to be sharpened" roll, and it would work well for installation tools and such.

I use this for carrying the basic tools for bicycle maintenance when I travel with a bike. I'm probably slightly overfilling it and using it to carry tools that are not quite the right shape or size for it, but it still works very well. It still looks almost new, even after taking it on trips overseas and using it regularly for almost a year. It has somewhat limited space for small things like socket adapters, but it's enough for my purposes. Some very minor complaints: - The slot widths seem kind of arbitrary to me, and they're not placed in the order that I think makes the most sense (larger slots should be on the outside when rolled up, and smaller slots on the inside, it seems like) - The buckles feel less snappy than I'm used to, but maybe this is due to trade-offs in durability

Working as an independent contractor, for small jobs time is money. I’ve wasted a lot of time in the past digging through tool boxes and bags. Having this tool roll has significantly improved the speed at which I can complete a job. Everything is where I need it when I need it. The durable fabric is great and it’s got plenty of pockets. Nothing ever falls out and it’s got a convenient carrying handle. It’s also aesthetically appealing. The two criticisms I have are that the Velcro fold over pockets on the end (as seen in the picture) don’t seal up very well, because of this I haven’t been able to find a use for them. Secondly, the strap that holds the roll together is a good deal longer than needed. This would be fine if the excess strap wasn’t just secured by a narrow fabric loop that gets bunched up all the time (seen in picture). Not a big deal but I’m always having to adjust the excess back down flat. All in all, great product and well worth the money.

This handy tool roll was a perfect gift for all the guys at Christmas. Holds a lot more tools than you think n so easy to throw in car and have a set of tools at all time. All the guys loved these as gifts.

Amazon had stocking issues, so took a couple of months to receive. I use the first one to hold wood carving tools, and appreciate the gradations in slot sizes for that purpose. Fabric weight is just about perfect. Some of the larger slots are bigger than necessary, so I have sewn three of those slots into two separate compartments, to hold as many as 21 tools. There are also three pockets on the interior of the roll which I am beginning to use for slips, small sharpening hones, and small strops, but I haven't decided if that will work out. That's about the limit of what this tool roll will carry, but it still isn't too bulky doing that. The only criticism I have is that the outermost tool in the roll can sometimes squish out of the roll's outer edge if I'm not careful when I'm packing up. It would've been nice if Carhartt had a fold-over flap on that edge, which I've seen on other tool rolls. I'll either sew in such a flap myself, or else add an elastic band to keep the outermost tool handle inside the roll. The size is just right for full-size wood-carving gouges, but wouldn't be ideal for a variety of files and rasps. Un producto genial de una gran marca, se nota la calidad de los materiales y de la construcción. Además entran más herramientas de lo que esperaba, mucho mejor! Esta marca nunca decepciona. Y el color esta guapísimo, será más sucio que el negro, pero es brutal y muy característico.
