I heard someone talking about jerky and it got me wanting it so I went to Amazon and stumbled across this heavenly treat. I saw the picture of the Bacon jerky and I immediately started salivating. The pictures make it seem to appetizing that I thought it would be worth it to try. After cleaning up my drool, I promptly ordered the 1 lb bag because if you're going to go, go all out. I loved the fact that it has simple, natural ingredients and that it is made fresh when you order so I figured it was going to be a treat. Then you add the fact that it won an LA Times award for "Best Homemade Gift" in 2013 and all of the 5 star reviews, I thought this is going to be awesome. Then the packaged arrived and it was quicker than I anticipated, which was awesome! It gave me a few day window and it arrived on the first day of the window. After I peeked through the clear part of the bag I starting drooling again. The only way to stop was to get some of it in my mouth. I opened the bag and there was a sweet smell. The jerky looked great. I put my hand in the bag and I have to admit that I was taken back from the wetness of the jerky. I guess I was expecting it to be more dry but that also meant that it was going to be juicy, which is huge for me. After trying my first piece, I was hooked. The best way to describe this is that it takes like a steak that has been marinating in a sweet sauce. It was so tender that you probably do not even need teeth to chew it. There are literally explosions of flavor in every bite. I looked around my office and thought, I don't want to share any of this because it is soooo good but then I also wanted to share my finding to the entire world! I let some co-workers try and they were hooked. They agreed that this is the best jerky they've ever had. Since my first purchase, I have bought a bag for my parents and I am splitting another one with a co-worker. I will say that if you are expecting traditional jerky, that you will be disappointed because this is not. It is a way better, more moist and flavorful snack that you will not need to rip apart like other jerky. It is expensive jerky but it is worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and give it a try and I promise that you will not be disappointed!

I ordered two of these. They were cooked and shipped out within 2 days! I'd really like to see better shipping options from this seller though, The expected delivery was 9-12 days after ordering, but thankfully I received it in 3. They were nicely wrapped and packaged. The flavor is nothing short of amazing, it can be a little different if you haven't had meat flavored this way before. One reviewer on here said the product tasted old, but I'm pretty sure he must have just not liked it. The flavor definitely does NOT fall under my definition of old. The flavor is sweet, tangy, and barbecuey. The pieces in the bag are big and thick, they are around the consistency of cooked chewy bacon but they melt in your mouth at the same time. All the cuts of meat I got in my packages were absolutely perfect. They do not skimp out on portions either, they set you up! The bag is also resealable. I ordered this because of the good reviews and I have to say everyone was right. Now of course I have to put my review in with them. Definitely give this a try.

It was a little bit soggier than I was expecting, I like my jerky dry but it was right there in the title so that's my fault. Still, it was delicious and I finished it much sooner than I was expecting.

Who knew you could buy candied bacon? It's just anout the best thing I've ever eaten. I think it's a diservics to call it jerky. After heating in miorowave for 30 seconds it is thick sliced bacon basted with brown sugar & maple. It sweet, tangy, smokey flavor. It's very sticky and sweet. Have a bunch of wet paper towels handy becase it's so sticky. It melts in your mouth it's so tender! Its expensive but worth every penny. It may be the best thing I've ever eaten. On my 2nd order already.

Very unusual taste. Not really to my liking as the fish taste is what lingers and stays for a very long time To me it appears undercooked and fatty, causing you to chew quite a bit and never really getting any flavors that are appealing. Definitely do not smell this product as it will turn you right off of it.

This jerky is made with fish sauce. I am allergic to fish. They really should put an allergy warning on the package and indicate fish on their sell page as well. Who would've thought they'd use fish to make BBQ bacon jerky? Fortunately I do not have a severe allergy and only had to deal with hives all over my body for 3 days. That being said, the jerky tasted okay. Don't smell it. Just eat it. It smells way worse than it tastes. The taste of fish lingers on the palate and breath long after the barbecue flavor dies. The fish taste burps up well too. So if you can't handle a fishy aftertaste, this is probably not the product for you. Unfortunately, due to my fish allergy I had to toss the rest of this but at least I was able to taste it.

There's a lot of mixed reviews on this product. I understand. I tried this for the first time recently and wasn't sure what to think at first. It doesn't arrive as crisp packaged bacon, it's soft and coated in it's own sort of marinate. So, it's messy basically. You can eat it from the package or pop it in the microwave for a few seconds to get it warm and a bit more crisp (After trying both ways warmed is what I preferred). It really doesn't matter though, the taste is just crazy good. I'm much more of a 'salt' person than 'sweet,' but I really like the sweetness of this bacon more than anything. There's honestly not a whole lot of saltiness to it. Also, from reading their website they prepare all to order. I absolutely believe it. My package was very fresh and I could tell it wasn't some processed stuff that had been sitting for weeks. I've already ordered a second package after less than a week. Anyway, it's really good as far as I am concerned.

Oh heck, I opened the bag and I was wondering what I had got as it did not look like typical jerky it has a moist some kind of coating to it and it very sticky to the touch. But seconds after trying the first piece wow just amazing loaded with flavor, the bacon has sort of a sweet yet smokey flavor, the instructions on the bag say to enhance heat in microwave for a few seconds I haven't tried that yet just out of the bag is sensational. Whether purist call this jerky as it has sort of a coating and is not totally dry does not matter this is excellent I will be ordering it again when I want jerky. As a side note it delivered from seller within 2 days it says it was packaged when I placed the order and from taste I believe it, and was packaged very well.
