After reading the negative reviews I was a bit wary of buying, but thought I’d try it to see.It comes with two extra bits, one goes over his head and is attached to the muzzle strap, the other is a small circular belt that allows you to to fix underneath of muzzle to his/her actual collar.Without the extra it going over top of his head, he can easily pull it off, but once that bit is fitted, you don’t have to remove it when you take off and put on the muzzle.My dog going for a short walk around the streets, this works totally fine. At the weekend when he has a longer walk on the beach he also needs the small belt that loops the underneath of the muzzle to his collar, this is due to him burying his head in the sand etc, without the underneath part, it can get off.I’m making it sound far more complicated than it is, can attach the collar loop in seconds, once you’ve used it a couple of times, it becomes second nature.Very pleased with it, used to have to use those Baskerville muzzles and I much prefer this one.There is one thing I don’t like (hence not 5 stars) , putting it on my dog, the clip to attach the muzzle is right next to his ear, we have to be careful to move his ear out of the way to make sure we don’t accidentally catch it when clicking muzzle strap together. Would have thought they could have designed it in a way where the clip was on top of his back/neck rather than right by his ear. Still highly recommend it though.

Billy growls when wearing the muzzle, but he does that regularly and we always interpret this as his way of telling us, it is okay and he won't bite.

I had to return this as it was not the right size.

Was slightly too small

We use this when our dog needs grooming as he’s a rescue and prone to snapping. Fitting it went alright. He can still open his mouth a little bit to drink and pant.

This has brought back the joy of off lead walking for our rather feisty Patterdale bitch. She has a tendency to try to de squeak small dogs she meets on her walks by grabbing hold of them and shaking. Even on a lead she is unpredictable.This little soft muzzle has taken the angst out of walking her. She has adjusted quite quickly to it and seems unperturbed by it.Having come across several small squeaky dogs on the beach the other day she could chase round after them but was totally unable to bite. She is still able to drink water and pant but no biting.The various none slip fittings allow for a secure and comfortable fit that stays in place even with a very energetic Patterdale inside.My only gripe is that the velcro fastening goes across her nose and makes the muzzle quite thick under her eyes. She is also able to get grass and sand on the velcro when she is tearing about and playing with our other dogs. Were the velcro to be under her muzzle it would be far less obtrusive and bulky.However, it does what I wanted and doesn't make her look like some crazed savage.I have bought another, they aren't cheap but are very well made. Living on a farm she does get quite muddy and they pop in the washing machine and come out as good as new so two makes life easier.I would recommend for anyone with similar issues.

Adjustable . Room to breathe, lick, and smell. My border collie doesn't mind wearing it at all.
