This bar soap is great! I usually alternate between body wash and bar soap, (varying brands) but have not been using bar soap for a few years. I bought the clean tangerine scent along with a soap bag and was a little disappointed that it didn’t have a whole lot of fragrance, I don’t like too much fragrance but a bit more would be nice in my opinion. However, after using it, the weaker scent doesn’t bother me at all! It makes me feel so fresh and clean! It is slightly drying imo, not bad but I have to moisturize every time after using it. But that’s with any bar soap for me anyway. The quality is definitely there. I have always wanted to try some Lune products but cannot justify spending $20+ for 1 average sized stick of deodorant or bottle of body wash. I wish the soap bars were a bit bigger, they seem quite small to me for the price. Paired with and exfoliating soap bag, it lather very nicely and is easy to use! I get that they are quality products but man, it feels like Lume is definitely giving us as little of the product/s as possible and charging the max price. I also got my partner a nice bar of soap at the same time and it’s sooo much larger, being 10oz vs Lume’s 5 lol. I mean, it did say “big ass brick of soap” on the box but the size comparison is funny lol. I included a pic of the soap bags too just because. (Brand name Zomchii)

I really love this soap. It has a very light coconut smell. It cleans well and moisturizes the skin—but it's expensive. At nearly $30 for five bars of soap, it's almost $6 a bar with tax. I bought the five pack to use as part of Christmas gifts for friends (along with candles, face masks, lotion, etc.) and kept a bar for myself, so I justified the cost as being part of a nice gift package for friends. It has been gentle on my skin and a single bar has lasted me six months (though sometimes I use another exfoliating bar of soap!). Whether Lume soap fights odor more than other soaps, I can't really say. I just like the light coconut smell.

Update: 1/24/2024: Since my last update, I did some more reading about 2-Nonenal and how to get rid of the smell. Others said Persimmon soap would do the trick. So again, I go to Amazon to find it. I did find it, purchased it and tried it. It’s a very very expensive, tiny little piece of glycerin soap. Smells good. Does it work? Yes but for about 8 hours. Then you have to use it again. Lume controls the odor much longer and Lume bar of soap lasts longer. If you like citrus smell, get Lume tangerine. It’s cheaper, larger, lasts longer and works longer. Update: 1/4/2024: Since my last update, I ordered the Peony Rose and the Tangerine. The coconut smell started getting to me. When first applied, cream or soap, it reminded me of men’s dirty socks. Not feminine at all! Of course that initial stinky smell dissipates but I just couldn’t get past it. So I’ve tried both the peony rose and tangerine. Both smell really good. Believe it or not, my husband likes the peony rose the best. It leaves a smell similar to CK One on him. I’m sure body chemistry comes into play here but on him it doesn’t leave him smelling of flowers. On me, both leave a light pleasant scent. People won’t smell it on you unless they are literally sniffing your skin. The soap works just fine by itself for 2-Nonenal. Update: 12/26/23 I tested using only the soap and it works! For me, at this point and time, no need to use both the soap and the cream. Saves me a little time in my hygiene routine and a little bit of money too. Original Review: I’m going to put my tragic but true story out here in hopes it helps someone. Move on to the next review if you are sensitive to the truth and facts about aging or just squeamish. Growing up I spent a lot of time with my grandmother. I always noticed her house had this certain smell and I knew it came from her but never knew what it was. I definitely knew it was a natural smell, not a perfume, lotion or detergent. It was a sweet but earthy kind of smell. Whatever it was, I knew I didn’t want it. Fast forward 43 years and here I am post menopause. I still get a little hot flash now and then but I’m definitely through the turbulence. Praise Jesus! The other morning, I was sitting in bed with my morning cup of coffee perusing on Amazon like I always do, and I could smell this sweet, musty, salty something odor coming off my neck and chest. I was like, WTH!, but in much worse language. I religiously shower 2x a day. I never get in my bed dirty. NEVER. And all of a sudden, I’m waking up with this strange odor on my body. The idea of it tormented me all day. Next morning, same problem. 😩😩😩. So over to the internet I go to try to diagnose my problem. Well, guess what? I’ve hit an all time low in my life! I officially have Old People Smell or scientifically called, 2-Nonenal. Welcome to my dark side, folks! So back to Amazon I go to find a product to cure me. I came across Lume. I even saw the tv commercial for the all body soap and deodorant. I purchased both. Last night I showered with the soap and made sure I got my back and all the cracks and crevices. I put the cream on my neck and chest. I went to bed, said my prayers, asked God to take away the old people smell. 🙏❤️🙏. So here I am, the next morning, sitting in bed with my morning coffee and writing this review. So! How do I smell this morning? Like a coconut. No old people smell. I only smell of coconut. Lume worked! Would it work for a solid 72 hours? Don’t know and don’t care because I bathe 2x day minimum. I will use the soap and cream daily. It sucks getting old. Your joints wear out, skin dries out, and now we’re doomed to get 2-Nonenal. Mentally I still feel like I’m in my early 40’s. Physically, I feel like my actual age of 58. But I REFUSE to smell like an old person. REFUSE! REFUSE! REFUSE! Pros: -Bar of soap is quite sizable and will last awhile. -It works for 2-Nonenal and possibly other reasons for body odor Cons: -Products are pricey but how can you put a price on something that gets rid of 2-Nonenal? So this is my wicked little story. I hope it helps someone and my apologies if I grossed you out.

Nice soap and smelled good. My only complaint is the bar is large and a bit hard to hold it to use it. A smaller size for a lesser price point would be nice. Wish more options of scents. I don’t want to smell like an orange or lavender (awful).

I don't have the typical perimenopausal symptoms, I have the ones they don't tell you about. The itchiness, the adult acne (even in the sensitive areas), the skin dryness, sweating more, etc. For the itching my dr said to use baby shampoo, the orange one. No fragrance (i tried that, nope). Tried Lume spray first after washing with baby shampoo, still itched, but definitely better. But, I cant stand the way baby shampoo smells (smells great in babies, just not me). Decided to switch to lume. Started with the orange, not a fan if the smell, switched to unscented, loved it, then tried the ourple one, better than the orange one, but still just ok, tried the pink one, that's the one! I think of lume like medicine, not perfumed soap. The fragrance is not supposed to last, but washing with a scrnt makes you just feel cleaner. I also tend to wear floral perfumes (fav is gucci booom), so the scent doesn't clash with my fragrance . I use it everyday and the itching is gone. Really recommend trying it if you itch a lot. Also has helped with my psoriasis and even use it in my face when I am traveling. Leaves all my skin feeling squeaky clean, but soft. I find the price good. This is triple milled so lasts longer then let's say a soap like dove ir ivory. I have the spray and lotion, but dont really need to used as this lasts so long.

I swear by Lume. I feel cleaner longer, no stink at all. It's no gimmick, this stuff works. Pair it up with Lume deodorant and you'll be stepping fresh all day. I'd recommend all their products.

Love the rich suds and clean feeling skin with this soap. The fragrance is wonderful in the shower. It is unnoticeable after the shower which I like and prefer.

I ordered this soap because I love the coconut Lume (as the description says) and was sent the tangerine. Will never purchase from this seller again.
