Floor Vent Under Cabinet Toe Kick Ducting Kit

We have remodeled our kitchen and this was perfect, so we could put the vent in the toe kick. It was easy to install and looks great.

This is the second time I have used this product during a kitchen remodel. I remodeled 2 kitchens with IKEA cabinets and had ducts that were under the cabinets. These were easy to install to reroute the vents out the toekick. The seller has been very easy to work with since the first order came damaged. Hopefully I never need to remodel again but if I do, these will be used.

This was perfect for what I wanted to do. I wanted to build a window seat made from IKEA base cabinets. Of course in a house built in the 30s and the ac added many years later. This extended the duct under the cabinet and through the toe kick. Worked great and fit perfectly. Also brought the heat and air further into the room with made it more efficient than under a window next to the wall. This did not come with great instructions. So here is a Hint: join the two ends of the flexible duct to the end pieces before mounting to the floor. Also use some really good foil tape to seal around the connection. And consider using gloves when working with it because the edges are razor sharp.

Installed this under some new cabinets we were putting in. It works well and is easy to install, but it seems a little expensive for what it is.

This is a great kit and wish I had thought of the idea. While it is not cheap it is sturdy, you will install it in about 4 minutes, it completely channels the air forward so that you are not heating/cooling the void under a cabinet, and you don't bust or carve up your knuckles trying to finagle something. I suppose you could go to a sheet metal shop and get something fabricated, or buy some rectangular duct and make your own vent box under the cabinet, but you either need to have exceptional precision and good shears or factor in a flex boot that will fit into the 3.5 - 4" toe kick of the cabinet and still get it attached to all parts. That's just not worth the pain...buy it, install it, be happy with it and forget about it forever. The box does a good job of covering the floor along the metal edges, but do follow their advise and apply a bead of silicone or use metal tape on the floor edges for extra sealant. If you bought this box, you care about a quality job...finish it right with the silicone.

I recently renovated my kitchen and the professional HVAC company I hired was going to just simply tape a metal duct to the floor. I found this product, installed it myself and it worked beautifully. It was easy to assemble, easy to install and easy to cut the face of the toe kick. This was money well spent.

I am installing three new cabinets in a bay window to create a window seat in my breakfast area. There is an existing 4" x 10" floor vent in that bay window that will now be under the center cabinet.This kit has all the parts required to route the vent out through the cabinet toe kick, and was very simple to install with the instructions provided.The product description clearly states that you must have at least four (4) inches of toe kick space to install this kit. This is absolutely true. Make sure you (will) have at least this four (4) inches of space under your cabinet before you order this.You'll need to seal the vent cover to your vent opening. I used peel and stick neoprene weatherstrip for this purpose. Duct sealer or silicone can also be used as indicated in the installation instructions.When you are finished installing this, the heating / cooling that used to emerge from your floor will now emerge from the face of your cabinet toe kick. You will cut a 3" x 8-1/2" rectangular hole in the face of the cabinet toe kick, reach inside that hole, pull the ducting toward the hole, and then bend two metal tabs though and over the opening. Please see my photos and note the oval shape of the duct. Keep this in mind when selecting a register cover to finish off the opening in your toe kick. Not all register covers will mount flush with this kit. I am using a surface mount register cover that does not drop into the toe kick opening. Toe Ductor sells register covers on Amazon that will also work with this kit.This is a great kit and saves a lot of hassle trying to source individual parts that will work together for this sort of job. I had another floor vent that I needed to route under a sink base cabinet, and that started as a 6" round duct coming through my floor. For that project, I actually ordered a toe kick duct boot for a 6" round duct from an HVAC supplier, as well as another Toe Ductor kit that mates to a wall vent, and then I sort of Frankenstein-ed all those parts togther with pop rivets and foil tape. Fun challenge for me, but perhaps not for someone else. However, for the "standard" 4" x 10" floor register, this Toe Ductor kit is 100% complete and ready to install and requires no modifications. I was not able to find any another turn key solution out there for this sort of job, and this Toe Ductor kit is just that - a 100% turn key solution. Highly recommend!

When you’re in a pinch with a heat vent that will otherwise hold up your project look at this product. This is the second time toe ductor saved me. First was in my kitchen. Awesome company and awesome people to deal with. Wish they were in Canada I’d love to buy a franchise from them here and stamp these for sale ….

Over priced to begin with and also costs 100 dollars to get it into Canada, including getting dinged at customs for 25%.. whoops.Pay someone to make this custom for you, for much less.It's convenient though, and earns 1 full star.
