With the suction cup tool, they grab tiles and pop them into position on the grid according to their challenge card. It's fun and fosters pre-coding skills like sequencing, problem-solving, and logical thinking! includes robot board with storage, suction pen, 175 pixel tiles, 20 challenge cards and instructions. Recommended for children 4 years of age and older.

overall fun and challenging
I bought this for my 5 year old daughter. As other reviewers have stated the pen is a little tricky. My daughter does have some fine motor delays so the pen is a little too challenging; we used it for awhile but also just used our fingers. I like that the pen is a little challenging as she really wants to use it so she is trying to hold it correctly and is persistent with it but I do wish it was slightly easier so it wasn't as frustrating. My 2&1/2 year old also had fun with it; I would tell her what color came next and where to put it. She was also challenged by the pen but this toy is for children older than her.The storage for the pieces was a bit disappointing. I couldn't get the pieces to fit into the holder (which is the mouth of the robot) so it would close and the card holder on the back doesn't keep the cards in if you pick up the toy and hold it upright. So I had to put everything into a zip lock.Overall I think it's a great toy that once they get the concept of matching the shape to the color is brain stimulating and fun. They also had fun just playing around and making their own designs. In fact I might get a second one as they kept fighting over the pen and the design they wanted to use.

he was able to finish 2 pictures pretty much by himself today
I got this for my son's 4th birthday. I knew it would be a bit beyond him at this time but I figured he could grow into it. He's only played with in a couple of times and other than needing a little help to find where he is on the grid and some occasional cues for attention, he was able to finish 2 pictures pretty much by himself today! My one pet peeve is the tile "pen" it comes with. It works when you read the directions and figure out how to do it, but it requires a high degree of coordination. Most kids less than 7 or 8 probably won't figure it out to be consistent with it. So I just told my son to dump it all onto the floor when he's done. That's a good enough work around for me, but he keeps picking it up and trying to use it unsuccessfully which kinda makes the whole thing more frustrating than it has to be.

Overall a great toy and kids stay engaged and motivated
What I love about this toy:Great for visual scanning- you need to look at the code and then recreate it on the board with the matching color tiles. You can use it to encourage left to right scanning. The tool that is given to pick up the tiles is an added bonus. There is a sequence of steps needed to get the tiles to stick to the tool. I have found that this is challenging for some kids but it’s a great opportunity to practice a new motor action as well as learning to sequence. Also the form of the tool is similar to a pencil and you can help to facilitate a good pencil grasp. My only complaint about this toy is the storage. I find the area where you place the tiles is a challenge because you need to make sure to put them in a certain way in order for all the pieces to fit. This can be very time consuming. Also the box of comes in can not be used for storage. Storing the toy without a box can be an easy way to lose pieces and the suction tool. That is the one of the reasons I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

easy enough just to have them pick up the pieces ...
Bought for my daughter who just recently turned 4. She was able to do both versions, off the the picture side and off of the shapes side. Many different picture cards included. Only reason I gave it a 4 Star is because the suction tool was a lil harder to operate for someone age 4, however, easy enough just to have them pick up the pieces and set into place. Overall, I’d buy it again

Cool game, lots of pieces
This game is really cool. The problem is, the box isn't one you can store all the parts of it in because half the front of the box is not there. There are so many little pieces that I still don't even know what to do with them. If the box was completely enclosed it would be fine. But seriously. It isn't and I lost a bunch of pieces right away because of the poor engineering of the box.

Great Christmas Present for a 10-year Old
My son says this is one of the best presents he has ever received; he enjoys it because it is like coding. Unlike some gifts, he has played with it numerous times since the holidays. I like how the tiles store in the toy itself. I feel this was a good gift decision on my part because of the Wow Factor.

I got this as an add-on item. It will ...
I got this as an add-on item. It will be placed in the Toys for Tots box during the holidays. I was hoping to gift this to my niece, but it seems too basic for her. It appears to be a color by numbers toy that only has colored cubes to place in the specific slot. Nothing special.

Fun toy, poor design
My kids like this toy a lot. However it was missing pieces. (I opened and counted before we gave it to the kids.) Also the piece holder is poorly designed. Barely big enough to hold all the tiles and basically impossible for a kid to dig through while playing.

Quality and fun toy.
My kids love it. Great quality and will last for a while. I gave it a 4 star because there are not enough blue tiles to finish one card. My daughter was disappointed but soon adjusted the image and was happy with the result.

Awesome - need replacement tiles though
This product is fantastic. My 5-year old loves it. The only complaint that I'd have is that it only comes with the exact amount of tiles you need, so when my son loses one, there are no additional tiles to make up for the lost colour. Other than that, it's a fantastic toy.

A challenging, enjoyable game
This game is a challenge but such a reward when the puzzle is completed. I’d recommend for ages 4-10. Every child who sees this toy is immediately drawn to it

For calm and composed kids
Not for naughty kids who can’t sit at one place and play
