I grew up with these stories, and I have used the information all of my life. At 86 years old, I can truly say I have had a wonderful Christian life.

The fables are great. The cover was put on upside down which is a little annoying.

If you believe that every child deserves a participation trophy, that there are no winners or losers in a game, and that your child is best taught how to handle life’s lessons by someone other than you as their parent, then this book is definitely not for you. However, if you want your child to just enjoy being a child then get it!

Gave this to my niece for their first child. They know it has life lessons in a form children can understand, and both parents and child will enjoy it for many years. We all did as we grew up...that's why it's a classic.

I love reading these short stories to my grandchildren.

Great book with the kind of substance and virtue out world is dying for right now. I’d give it 5 stars, except that not every story has an illustration (most do), which is an important part to the younger ones.

I originally bought this book to read to my baby before bed, but after I read him one of the stories from this book I realized it’s better for a older child, so I’m giving it to my 10yo instead. I really liked the illustrations, the book is beautiful.

These stories were written long ago, but there are still life lessons contained in many of them. I read these stories when I was a little girl, and I still recall some favorites.

The lovely memories from bedtime in my childhood live on. Great book!
