The photo says .010 - .046 guage

Followup to my earlier answer: Someone at Amazon entered the wrong information into the "size" field. They entered "12-53" which is a light gauge ACOUSTIC string. We are working with them to get this corrected, but it can take a while. In the meantime, trust the product photo which shows, very plainly, a light ELECTRIC gauge of 10-46. This product is most definitely a regular electric light gauge set, or rather, three sets.

Is this really .010 to .046? It is not on the size choices

This is a 6- string set with a graduated diameter scale starting with the high "E" string which is 10 gauge and ending with the bass string which is 42 gauge. So its a light or regular gauge set. The 6-string set ending with 52 gauge is a light heavy set. Normally 22 fret necks will work well with this gauge like Fender Stratocasters or Gibson Les Paul standard fret scale neck types. Sets starting with 09 or 9 are intended for 24-fret instruments like Ibanez JEM's or RG series and similar neck types from other manufactures. Is it 012 or 010 string? While the one sectin mantions 012-053 the other says 010-049

They are considered light strings. The low E is 46 and the high E is 10. I've used Elixir on my acoustic and they sound good and last longer than other strings I have used. They are more expensive than other strings. I get the three pack when its on sale. They also make a lighter gauge (9) if you want.

Anyone know how these compare to Mapes nickeld electric guitar strings?

I have the acoustic version on my Taylor Big Baby and they sound great, they also last much longer than other strings I have had. Because they were so good I bought the electric strings for my strat but I just haven't put them on yet. Sorry. They aren't cheap, so if you want them go for the three pack when on sale.
