Good product, fun novelty
Bought this as a novelty item to get into panning as I am in a state bearing very little gold and strict waterway laws to boot, so going out and panning where I'm at is kind of pointless. As far as a practice/novelty item it is great! There is indeed gold as well as tiny quartz crystals and a little bit of black sand adds a respectable challenge. my return was just over .1g and still have some superfines I have to retrieve from my tailings and sniffer bottle. Also found 3 bright silvery pieces not sure what they could be, hopefully platinum! (Lower right in pic appear dark) Not a great ROI but you dont invest in paydirt, you invest in straight bullion or placer. This is for the fun and should be treated as such going in, or you'll just be disappointed when you dont see much gold and that is paydirt in a whole. There are also lots of superfine particles that will float or suspend in the water, so keep you're eyes peeled before you just dump or ditch your tailings and water. I'd say for beginners with a keen eye, patience, and a pretty basic understanding of panning due to the amount of superfines compared to pieces easily seen and able to be picked out with tweezers. People with poor eyesight or (in my case) an impatient nephew might want to get the bigger bag with more "pickers" I'd say. Overall had a blast panning and do recommend for anyone getting into panning.

Complete Scam
This is a complete scam!! I panned it twice didnt find a single spec if gold in this sand they sent me. I've watched alot of videos on this exact pay dirt since I ordered it and it was the same thing nothing or barely a spec or 2. Im not sure how this stays at the top of recommendations when you search pay dirt but dont buy it. Do your research and find a reputable seller with actual pay dirt. Not sand.

Great beginner panning experience!!
First off, I am a beginner at panning. I have tried my hand in streams in known gold country with no success. Was it the concentrate or was it the panner? I bought the bag of paydirt as a calibration tool for me. The order was processed very timely. I watched more videos on panning to get the technique down better, then it was time to add the paydirt to my pan. I decided to split the bag roughly into 4 quarters. I panned the first quarter with extreme excitement as the sand washed away. The paydirt was pretty clean compared to the SC river dirt I had been looking in. It was free of fines rapidly. There was enough black sand to give that experience, but not so much that a magnet was needed. as I swirled the final black sands away from the edge, there it was!!! My first gold found with my pan! It was exciting to see. I used a squeeze bottle to capture the gold, then repeated with the next quarter, then the 3rd, then the 4th. Each quarter of the paydirt bag produced from 4 to about a dozen flakes. Some of the flakes were small enough and thin enough to make adding a little soap worthwhile (so I got to experience that technique also). Pictures, if they keep same order from left to right are Final Clean up, 1st pan, 2nd pan, 3rd pan and 4th pan. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the product. It delivered exactly what I was hoping for. Will you get rich in monetary value form this? Absolutely not. Will you get a rich experience of seeing gold separated from common dirt by your own hand and water? Absolutely. In my opinion an excellent value for the money.

Great fun
to much fun! i received a bag of golden paydirt last year for Christmas and thought wow i haven't dusted off the old pan in more that 10 years. so i went to work refreshing my skills and sure enough pulled color from every pan and had a great time doing it. so this year all the kids got pans and yep two bags of golden paydirt each and one free lesson. the five of us spent hours in the garage over some old wash pans panning out the gold and true to form each and every bag yielded color for all. great excuse for family time when its already hard to nail them all down at once. all and all great product and cant wait to do another bag or two. thank you, Rich C.

Where's the beef?
Pretty bad. I'd say bottom of the pile as far as paydirt goes. I mean, it's easy to pan, and there was gold, its alot smaller than what the picture appears. Just a little bag of sand and gravel with some gold flakes in it. The thing is, I'm sure they know out of all the paydirts, they add the least amount of gold, but I assume they're fine with that, they flood the market, and try and get every person to buy as much as they can get you to buy before you get to sample it and write them off. I bought some here on Amazon, and so I went to their own website because I assumed it would be cheaper, bought some more there, it's all kind of deals like buy 1 get 3 free. So I end up with a $150 order, but after checking out they throw more deals at you, I add another $70 at checkout because I got a nice Christmas bonus. Then they just kept pounding me with offers one after the other, I got burnt out of having to decline offers before I was finally allowed to leave the site. Immediately my email starts getting spammed with more offers, like 5 or six every day.... to this day. A few days after ordering from the website, my 3 bags i ordered off amazon from them came in,in comparison it was pretty ridicoulous, because I also had some from klesh, and bobby nugget, those two are probably all I would ever buy from from here on out. The goldn paydirt was very stingy with the shiny stuff. So, finally my 11 bags worth $220 came in the mail today, .24 grams @ todays price is about $40. I mean, it's pretty silly. All in all, to be fair, it's easy to pan, and it has nice little bitty chunky flakes you can grab with tweezers, but it's madness to spend $220 to get $40 worth of fun when the other guys would give you $110 worth of fun.
