The Fitness Mindset: Eat for energy, Train for tension, Manage your mindset, Reap the results Review: Easy read with great info for beginners in nutrition, fitness or self improvement - I wanted to read this for a while after finding the BKF Podcast, and while I'm glad I did (if nothing else to support its content creator, Brian Keane) it was a lot smaller than I imagined. The book isn't an exhaustive read (~170 pages) which means it's an easy to digest book but not as comprehensive as I'd wanted. HOWEVER I'm used to longer reads, for anyone who is a novice at reading, self improvement or nutrition/fitness this book is a GREAT start for you. I've been binge listening to his podcast ^_^" so a lot of the content I already knew. But I did get quite a bit of value from the tips to reduce tiredness/address sleep and stress/anxiety management. The best part about the books format is that you can easily thumb through it to either A) Find what you want to know from it or B) look back at it to remember its advice, as it's easily segmented And if you read this book but don't follow his podcast (BKF Podcast, on Youtube, Spotify, Apple Store, etc.) his podcasts are much more in-depth when you find an episode about the topic you're interested int Review: The———-Mindset - I thought Brian did a great job on this book and the time he took to bring other references in gave it some substance to hold his opinions together. This may be my own fault for not researching further but while the book does have chapters dedicated to fitness. It’s not a book that dials into it too deeply. I learned a few things for sure and even highlight some bits that I found extra good or that I want to come back to, but I can’t say I feel anymore educated on physical fitness with this read. However, the mental aspect of this book offered some great thoughts to ponder on. In my opinion. This is a great book for a beginner to very early intermediate range in their knowledge of the fitness world. You will learn many great bits of information that will help you succeed quicker. As far as more advanced peoples, there are bits and pieces here that are good to learn/be reminded of. If you have the extra time and need a quick book for reading. This is a great one.

Very educational and interesting!
I follow Brian Keane Fitness on all his social media platforms so I was very excited when he started talking about bringing out a book. I finished the book in just over a day and I loved it, usually I find books about nutrition or psychology overwhelming with information overload but Brian has simplified everything down and made it an easy and interesting but still very educational read. I have given the book to my friend to encourage her to read it but already I'm asking her to hurry up with it so I can have it back as I would like to flip through certain sections again. This book gets five stars and I would love for Brian to bring out another book in the future!

Inspiring - Simple - Good For Beginners !
The Good - Easy and simple to read not overly complicated. - Organized chapters and you can skip to whichever order you like. - Covers many topics around fitness such as supplements, nutrition, sleep, training etc'. - Motivational and inspiration in all areas of life. - Easy steps to follow and implement into your life The Bad - Not professional writing, this doesn't feel like a coach guiding you but rather a friend ( some might like it better this way though ) - Too simple, not elaborated enough on important topics and each chapters feels too short when it can cover so much more - Mindset sections isn't fitness oriented at all, the second half of the book is about building mindset and it's not about fitness at all: the mindset section is about generally building a mindset for life for all topics and areas of your life, it's inspirational, motivational, full of good quotes and metaphors but simply has nothing to do with fitness, though you'll probably learn a few things there Summary I give 3 star because it didn't feel like a profession book by a coach, though the book is very easy to read and very inspiring to make positive life changes, it won't take you to the best shape you'll hope for but it's a really good start for beginners and has good info there on how to become your better self !

Good resource - simple language, well researched, concise steps. Definitely recommend this.
I am so glad I bought this book. It is an easy read, and a small book running under 200 pages. There is a lot of information out there on what to eat, what not to, how to exercise and so much of the information is contradictory at times. This book is a good primer for anyone looking to have a healthy lifestyle. I gifted it to my teen son. The author quotes references all through the book and I plan to take these up later. It is a good book for anyone looking for clear, concise directions to embark on a healthy lifestyle.

Eye opener
Amazing insight into what it takes to really reach your potential as an athlete or in life in general. Very easy to follow and understand. A lot of very complicated concepts are simplified by Brian - a true sign of someone who really understands the topic and knows what they're talking about. Highly recommended

I finished reading it in two days after it arrived haha! It’s divided into two sections. Physical and mental health. The nutrition stuff was incredibly informative. I thought I had a decent enough grasp of the basics of that but clearly not, he goes into managing blood sugar levels and why processed food isn’t well absorbed and an explanation of nutrients and certain supplements and the likes. I can’t sum it up well or concisely but I felt much more knowledgeable after reading. I thought perhaps some better formatting and elaboration on training might’ve been useful, the section felt short and I feel better informed now but still a bit unsteady there. May have to reread. The mental health section was nice. It’s no psychology book but had it plenty of good pointers and advice. Author seems like a nice and emotionally mature bloke. Good for other beginners like me. Also the quality of the book physically was pristine and came super quick! Cheers Amazon.

For someone struggling/ searching, this could be a good primer, although it feels like scratching the surface on many fronts. The supplements section is where I disagree strongly: 98% of earths population can do with cleaning up their overall nutrition before considering supplementing. I did appreciate the motivation/ mindset section. Brian is so honest to admit that it his digest of knowledge/ insights from those who came before. It adds value.

Informative & Emotionally Supportive when it’s a hard truth behind every great effort to reach you Goals. Knowledge can only be beneficial if you know how to put it to work.

Firstly, I wouldn't consider myself a big " reader " I've probably only read 5 books cover to cover in my life, But when i say i recommend this book to everyone I mean it. Even if fitness isn't your main goal the mindset section of this book is frankly fascinating, Its not to heavy and if i was to best describing it, its a gateway into the world of philosophy and mind-set. Its chapters get you thinking of the best version of yourself and your end goals and how best to achieve them. This is the first " mindset " book I've ever read but it will not be my last because now I have some great references of books and philosophers to expanded my own knowledge. Now for the fitness section of this book, its laid out in a way that is simple to understand and easy to read, so great if your just starting your fitness journey, yet still has enough nutritional and training insight for seasoned Gym-Goers and athletes to use. Ok rant over, to sum up i feel this a great book for all to read no matter what stage of your life your in to help you achieve your end vision not matter what that looks like. Thanks Brian,
