I LOVE to have my nails painted - they always look so nice. However regular polish won’t stay on longer than 1 day without chipping and looking crappy so I hate wasting time on that.Going to the salon is great - my nails always look good, but it’s not as convenient as at home - PLUS I HATE how thin and brittle my nails get after I have them done professionally. I ask them not to file them so thin but they always do. So I’m left with thin brittle nails that peal and tear so easily.In comes Beetles 😍. I followed the directions EXACTLY (mostly - see below). File nails just to remove the shine (so they don’t get thin), push cuticles back, trim cuticles, and file/shape. I then rinse my hands with water & wipe my nails with alcohol wipes to be sure I get all the oil off. Thin layer of base coat, 2-3 thin layers of color, and thin layer of top coat. Be sure to cap the ends - this can be tedious but is so important to keep the ends from chipping and wearing off.A couple variations- the instructions say 60 seconds under the light. But all the bottles vary 60-120. I do 90-120 on all layers and twice on 120 for top coat (just to be sure lol). Then I wipe them again with an alcohol wipe - that’s it! These will last me up to 2 weeks, although I like to change the colors regularly because it’s fun lol.Taking them off is also super easy with a blue bottle of “Gel Remover” quick remover for gel nails. Highly recommend this - no soaking required 😉Since Beetles has such an amazing color pallet I have a lot of colors. I did notice some of the colors do not match the color label on top of bottles the best so I bought some nail color things I could paint so I know exactly what each color will look like.Highly recommend this product - nails have super beautiful color and shine - plus they last

The first set I did stayed on for a week with little chipping and probably would’ve lasted longer if I kept it on longer! These photos are from my second attempt. I recommend applying very thin layers and curing for the longest recommended time on the directions on the back of each bottle. Overall it’s an amazing product.

I love this beetles set. It got me started on gel nails. I have since ordered a lot more different color sets they have available. I have had 0 reactions to the polish. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the nail lamp stopped working correctly after 4 months (5 uses) only half the lights work and the thumb and pinky do not cure as a result. I took good care of it, bought a nice carrying kit for all my nail stuff. I will order a new lamp and continue to order beetles polish.

I’ve seen mixed reviews but figured I would give this a try. I get gel manicures regularly. My coworker and I both bought this brand set. After using, BOTH our fingers and toes burned as if they were on fire. Immediately removed and still days later I have pain, redness and blistering. I believe this also gave me contact dermatitis. My feet are itching, swollen, red and bleeding around the nail. My coworker had to go to urgent care and be placed on steroids-her reaction was that bad. We both have rashes on our neck. It’s unfortunate that I spent money on this and can’t even use it. Im literally in pain as I’m writing this. Wish I could get my money back.UPDATE- had to miss work to go to urgent care myself over this. My feet are so swollen and red. Extremely concerned. Steroids and antibiotics for me. Mind you.. I used this kit on my toes first. All products were brand new out of the package, no misuse or dirty tools were the cause of this, it’s simply that what ever ingredients in this product can be EXTREMELY dangerous. I see good reviews and they seem to be listed first. Please if you are reading this, do not buy so you don’t go through what I did. The pictures I’ve attached are only in the beginning phase of what I’m going through and I don’t feel comfortable sharing because of how graphic they are. I immediately removed the polish when I noticed something was wrong, but somehow this reaction is getting worse by the day.

This is going to sound like a fake review because I’m so hyped about this, but this is one of my best Amazon purchases of all time. If you like having your nails done / spend money on manicures at the salon on a regular basis (or even if you just want to start), this will seriously change your life. I have no reason to go to the salon anymore. I just can’t justify the expense now that I have this kit. For the price I had very low expectations, but I’m blown away by the quality and amount of stuff you get with this kit! It really works and it’s so easy!!! It’s SOOOO much faster than painting your nails the old way. As long as you can paint with your non-dominant hand (even if you can’t yet, it just takes practice), you can do a full gel manicure or pedicure in 10-15 minutes. It’s literally just file/buff, base coat, UV light, color, UV light, top coat, UV light - DONE. Or you can really take your time with it and get creative with tips, nail art, etc. The kit comes with really good quality nail files and tools too which alone are worth more than the price of the whole kit. And the colors are beautiful (just as pictured). Truly cannot recommend this enough. Also recommend buying a nail kit bag too (the ones that are made specifically to hold the UV light and tools and have little compartments for the polishes). Love love love!!!Ps: if you have any funky nails that bother you, you can buy clear press-ons on Amazon (fingers or toes!) and *good quality* nail glue, and paint the press on just like the other nails with the gel polish and UV light and it works great. My big toe press on has been going strong for 2 weeks!

I bought this set in December 2023 and it was great until now. I got it as a gift for my mom and she’s been using it regularly (every three weeks-ish probably) and now, March 2025, the uv lamp finally gave out. Wish it held up a little longer but might consider buying again
