What is the recommended way to clean or sanitize these?

I typically run it through the dishwasher. After a while, however, I discard in lieu of a new one. That may not be the most ecological solution but I want to make sure I am using clean sponges to wash my counters, dishes, etc.

What’s the suggested length of time/number of rewashes before replacing?

I've never counted the number of washes. I replace mine when the scrubber part starts to "shred". Maybe 3 to 4 weeks or so, give or take.

Can I stick them in the microwave for 2 minutes to clean, or the dishwasher?

The product is made of microfiber and it is not recommended for microwave (which is for food), or dishwasher which is actually for dinnerware. Machine wash is OK for them if you need.
