It came with all the parts required, and even had one extra screw, bolt and nut. Came with the proper tools to assemble it, which was convenient. It didn't take much effort to assemble. Instructions were fairly easy to follow, but it's a simple stool, so even without instructions you could probably figure it out. It even came with felt pads for the bottom to avoid scratching the floor. Can't really rate durability yet because I just got it, but the metal parts are pretty hefty and I bought it to have something I could use to put my shoes on; no intention of sitting on this thing. Therefore, my guess is this will be quite durable. It's lightweight, so obviously if anyone other than a small child stood on this it would likely break.

First of, it is very well made. Second, it was a breeze to assemble. Third, I liked the attention to detail on this item, as it even included pads for the legs so that it can be easily moved and will not scratch your floors. In my case, I wanted it to place a tower type fan on top of it, and it works great for that. It is really stable. Another big plus for me is that it is stable enough that my robot vacuum can bump against it without it moving or disturbing the fan that sits on top of it in my house.

Stool arrived with 4 cracks on top piece, one running the entire width of the top. Didn't bother with return because I am only using it to elevate a small medical device and it seems plenty sturdy enough for that. Sure would not use it as a step stool though!!

I've put together lots of furniture - from small stools to large computer desk units. This was by far the easier product to assemble. All wood pieces, fastening hardware and tools were present and of good quality. It was together in a manner of minutes. The end product is sturdy and attractive. This is s cute and useful little stool! It looks nice and was easy to put together! It looks pretty sturdy I just use it for setting a cup or drink on, not as a stool for sitting or standing on. Satisfied with my purchase

I enjoy the quality of the wood but the screws that need to actually need to be screwed in are very difficult and stripped way too easily, I was unable to get any of the ones into the bottom shelf in properly.

Overall the product came intact but the directions were clearly lacking an image of the stool so all that was there were images of screws and dotted lines to nothing. The last screw split the bamboo compromising the durability of the stool. However, Sharon at Famistar reached out to me and apologized for my issues. Sharon was determined to make it right and would not take "no" for an answer haha! Famistar sent another stool at no cost to me which I assembled with no problems. I must have received a 1 out of 1000 dud. My wife loves this stool and uses it while bathing my son in the tub every night.

Update: A broken bone resulting from the use of this, as titled, "Bamboo STEP STOOL" has forced me to update my review from four stars to one. This stool really does tip FAR too easily to have "step stool" anywhere in it's description. It is a serious hazard. Please be aware of this before purchasing for a home with children! My kids have had it flip out from underneath them several times. Each time it happened I was present and am thus certain it wasn't a result of them misbehaving on it. They'd simply step onto it not in the perfect middle or, worse, would just be standing there then shift their weight while brushing their teeth or whatever and over it would go! These tips caused a few bruises, a couple of scratches, and lots of tears. To solve the tipping we had to put a decorative bag filled with rice on the bottom shelf to make it more bottom heavy and stable. Great, no more tipping problem for my 2 and 4-year-olds and happy use of this product for over a year. Fast forward to this week, I (having completely forgotten about its tendency to tip) used it to reach a high cabinet. Well, it wasn't weighed down enough for my weight, obviously, because over it went, breaking my toe in the processes. Ouch! I'm just thankful it happened to me and not to either of my little ones. We bought three of these stools, one for each of our sinks so our kids could reach them. I hate waste, but all three are headed for the landfill. Lovely looking stool but DANGEROUS for use as a stepping stool. Not sure it'd be much safer as a seat, either... Decor perhaps? -------------- Previous review: Fantastic quality but buyer beware: these things tip very easily! Our little boy wiped out badly the first time he used it because his first foot didn’t fall dead center, causing the stool to flip out from under him, sending him flying backwards. It happened once more before we got smart. We now have ours weighted down using the bottom shelf. No more tipping and we love the quality and look.
